Heh, your negatives are all things I actually enjoy about the game :) It could very well be a case of 'this just isn't a game for you' (in the sense that it doesn't appeal to you, I'm not trying to sound elitist here ;) ).

On a more positive note, if you want to watch some high quality content by an experienced DM, I can really recommend Brennan Lee Mulligan's stuff. It's wholesome, just understand that the combats won't be as awesome at your own table due to the lack of incredible terrain and minis ;)

To be fair, this is a very small subsection of the community, just like there is a small but toxic subgroup in Magic. In every long-running hobby that's played by a lot of people there are always going to be entitled, insecure assholes ruining the fun for others, but the fact is there are plenty...

I think it's mostly just going to be a miserable experience going multicolor and people learn to draft monocolored decks so they don't stumble on mana and can take full advantage of the Guildless Commons. (Quick aside: does anyone else think it's ironic they made this an uncommon?)

Oh no, it's a way different game :) practice makes perfect though, my first few rounds were also miserable ;) there's a lot of interaction between tiles, and those are worth exploring. I didn't catch your stream, but did you like it despite sucking at it?

As someone who thinks 5E is legitimately the best edition they have published to date (and I started playing when Advanced D&D was the current edition), I would love for you to expand on this.

Those super taplands are essentially unplayable. They are beyond atrocious. Just saying, from someone who started playing in earnest again during Champions block.

I have one (the regular Urza's Saga version) in my collection. I picked it up in a reject rare draft o_O It was €10 back then, and one of our more affluent players thought it would be funny to throw it in. I think it's safe to say I got my entry fee back :eek:
