Grid Draft: Peanut Butter vs. Jelly

It feels a little bit like sealed deck in that the fixing you end up with is a bit random. I suppose you can go out of your way to nab the appropriate mana during the grid draft, but then you neuter your own power level by doing so. Some sorta utility draft afterwards? Could even just be your...

+1 for Spell Pierce I gave some consideration to Muddle the Mixture as an instant/sorcery hoser, but even then I feel it's a little narrow.

Is this remotely viable? Seems a little expensive at {1}{B} per activation. But you get to draw a card, which puts it on a level above straight-up looting if you're trying to discard reanimator targets or Vengevines. Then if you have the zombie deck, it gets even better!

Riptide Lab threads are like Gravecrawlers. You can try to kill them, and they then sit in the graveyard for a while. But they never actually die.

    Notes from the Road: Switzerland

My wife loves to complain that you can drive for five hours, and still not be out of the province of Ontario. I was thinking of driving from Calgary to Vancouver later in the summer... but I'm not entirely sure I have the stomach for a 973 km road trip. There's not a whole lot to do in...

Your wish is my command! ...except when it's not. :( I poked around, and sadly, the forum software only allows you to have one button per tag. I can enable small by default, though. Would that be preferable?

No, I think you're right, deckbox.org shows Voidslime as being $60ish. The $8 is for the original Dissension printing. (Holy crap, why is this marginal counterspell worth 8 bucks? Commander? Someone fill me in.) Let's not say anything to poor ol' Rakdos Guildmage, though... # Name Price # 1...

I will say that I generally don't mind the new client, except for two major caveats: The responsiveness of the UI has taken a nosedive compared to V3, such that all your clicks and actions take a hair longer than they used to. This adds up enough that you end up dangerously close to timing out...

Maybe I'm the type who's unusually high on newly spoiled planeswalkers, but... count me among those optimistic for both new Ajani and Nissa. Like Chris mentioned, new Ajani is more interesting than Goldmane because he has two abilities, as opposed to just one. He feels like a hybrid of Caller...
