Sold! I'm gonna scour my boxes for them and try 'em out next draft. Worst case, they blow up in someone's face and I can bin the experiment.

Alright. I think I'm going to cut Duress. That spell wasn't doing anything for anybody here. Spell Pierce is sweet, though. I didn't understand why Jason and CML liked it before, but I'm on board now. That one's sticking around for the long haul.

I think that what most people have found is that a limited set of fixing in utility draft can be beneficial, when the cards just don't fall your way during the actual draft. The fixing in the utility pile would have to be of lower quality than that in the main list to prevent everyone from...

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

There was an awkward opener with a bunch of lands, a two-drop, a four, and a five, but in general the deck had enough early game action to keep itself alive for a few turns. Any opener with Noble Hierarch or even Utopia Sprawl was about three times as easy as those without.

No, I have no idea what you're talking about, Lucas. In actual fact, I often don't have any idea where your rants out of left field originate from. Like Alfonzo points out, Spell Pierce counters about 43% of the non-land spells in my cube, for a convenient cost of {U}. Given that there are a...

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Heh. As I was drafting the deck, I thought, "This is the kind of thing Lucas might dig." You're right that Eternal Witness was not at its best in this permanent-heavy deck, but all of the other value creatures more than pulled their weight. Especially Restoration Angel, eating attackers while...

Yeah, stickers on the inner layer of double sleeves is some sweet tech. It's how I currently mark my utility lands, so that it's easy to find and separate them after a draft.

Yeah, I just recently doubled up on it, in an attempt to make blue aggro/tempo a Thing. Some small but sweet lines I realized while picking up my friend's deck after he left: - Phantasmal Bear can be a ninja - Phantasmal Bear can totally be best buddies with a Tandem Lookout Where Delver...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'd forgotten how good Shatter effects are in large, singleton powermax cubes. I was poking fun at the designer for including the Rakdos Charm that I got fifteenth pick.. and then before I knew it, I was sideboarding it in every game. I've cut out all the obnoxious artifacts from my list, so...

Assemble the Legion Anyone else (other than CML, who's been heaping praise on this card for a year) try this? Now that I've cut out all my Naturalize effects, this thing is impossible to answer, and gets out of hand in a hurry.

Wait.. people hadn't heard of attack left / attack right? Oh man, I only refrained from suggesting that because I assumed everyone had already tried it, and still hated it. If you ever end up with exactly five people, and are jonesing for some multiplayer Magic, I highly recommend star...

    Sets [CNS] Conspiracy Spoilers

Yeah, I don't really have any patience for grumpy old curmudgeons who argue that "Richard Garfield didn't intend for something something to be something something". He didn't intend for booster packs to be drafted, either, because drafting any of the very old sets is just an exercise in misery...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Even Maelstrom Wanderer seems more and more sketchy in my cube by the day. Most recently, I played a three-colour ramp deck, and opted for only one eight-drop - that being Craterhoof Behemoth - so Wanderer had to watch from the bench. I feel like it's a card that would've been great printed...

    [Design/Construction] Rebuilding my 360...

People don't ever take it here :( I suppose it looks bad / slow on the surface? I'm gonna leave it in for a while longer, but I suspect that the advent of the planeswalker has made expensive cards with activated costs like this obsolete.

    Card/Deck Humans

Yeah, CubeTutor says I'm at 56 humans out of 384 cards, including the handful of enablers I run. Chances are, you guys all run this theme, too, without even trying.
