    Card/Deck Humans

I dunno, there's not much to this theme. A few months back, I started writing a long primer for this exact topic, before I realized it basically came down to the three mainstays that CML already covered. Optionally, if you want an enabler: Gather the Townsfolk You probably already have a...

    Sets [CNS] Conspiracy Spoilers

From a logistics standpoint, my concern is that the person sauntering over to make their utility land pick would hold up the actual draft itself, and let several packs accumulate on their doorstep while they're off making a pick on the side table. It's already a bit aggravating when a slow...

    Card/Deck Bonfire of the Damned

Nah, I tried it, and CML was right - the card is pretty bad. The straight up cost is about :3: more than what the effect is worth, and it's not really worth a deck slot to try and shave a few mana off this fixed effect every now and then.

I admit, I have a soft spot for giant fatties. This.. might be the one to top all fatties. A guy that gives you free reign to splash the greediest card you can get your grubby mitts on? Sign me up! When they spoiled Power Play yesterday, I figured that "free mulligan" would be another...

Because you didn't follow the 4-of rule. BAD JONAS!

    Card/Deck Bonfire of the Damned

Entreat the Angels has more play to it than Bonfire. Three 4/4's isn't the end of the world, and it's often a fun puzzle to figure out how to swarm around a platoon of giant blockers for the final few points of damage. I don't see how Bonfire is ever fun for anyone.

You know how I spent one thousand plus words trying to figure out what to do about the play / draw problem? Well, I think I solved it.

I run two! I suspect they're better over here than in your environment, though, Jason.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

How would you implement this in real life? I like the idea, and I think I want to consider this for my utility pile, but there's enough complexity with the side draft that I'm not sure I want to add more.

    General CBS

I played an 800-card powered cube today, and it was about as uninteresting as you might expect. Any game where I resolved a Sol Ring or my opponent Strip Mined away a key land weren't really games. For as much time as I spent sitting in a chair with cards either in my hand or on the field...

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

nooooo Experiment One nooooooooo I.. like Phantasmal Bear. I even ran two of him at one point. That was a bit much, though. Didn't I tell you Cloudfin Raptor sucked? ;) If you don't run middling fare like Smash to Smithereens and Torch Fiend, I highly support trimming the Wargears. Much like...

    Sets Journey to Nyx Spoilers

If you have a fast cube, Oppressive Rays is a nice one. I'm pleasantly surprised by how high I'm taking this one, and how well it shut down my "I think I stabilized on turn three with this Kitchen Finks" plan.

    Hex TCG MMO

I haven't mustered up the enthusiasm to try the Hex beta, but.. I assume it's going better than the MTGO wide beta. Why else would we see this? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/134518-Wizards-of-the-Coast-Files-Copyright-Lawsuit-Against-Crypotozoics-HEX-MMO

    Eric Chan's Modern cube (405)

The monogreen deck in question is the second one here: http://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/decks-that-have-3-0d-your-cube.47/page-25#post-18546 I don't think it's entirely optimal. But it still managed to win two rounds, regardless!

    Eric Chan's Modern cube (405)

This is probably true of most cubes, no? None of the Jund colours are really known for taking to the skies, but with cube environments being as fast as they are, this supposed "weakness" to flyers isn't the deciding factor for a game very often. Of all the times I've lost - and that's many -...
