I think all my 3-0 attacking blue decks were on the backs of weird 3/4 fliers for 3 mana. Blue has some mana-efficient beaters, but usually they have some downside you can offset.

Hybrid slots are lame. Slot hybrids into your monocolor slots in roughly equal proportions per neighboring color pair.

Well, doing it on Turn 3 and having no 1-drop follow up is effectively Stone Rain. Fulminator Mage is a good shout as well. It also gives the opponent some counterplay (fetch / play out Basics).

Ah, I wasn't even thinking about the cascade part. I meant more of like, Turn 3 play a fetchland, target it, cast Boom, fetch in response, their land blows up and then you drop a 1-drop.
