To be fair Goblin Bombardment is fairly narrow, as far as cards go. Underpowered... well, that depends on the context. Obviously it can hack it in Legacy in the right deck/hands, but it's not an obvious bomb.

Just thought I should chime in that if you are going to put more Flash in your environment, conditional counterspells become more valuable. Stuff like Negate is great when you have alternative plays if the condition isn't met.

I think Baloth is a pretty important card in my cube, the lifegain is pretty invaluable. I don't really see a need for Smiter in my environment though.

Putrid Imp fails my "would I actually include it in the final 40 of a Gravecrawler deck" test, which would indeed seem to suggest a false synergy.

This seems like the type of card that would possibly see some play in constructed with counterspell wars, but being uncounterable is so much less relevant in Cube. Especially if you are a deck that can pay :u::u:, the density of counterspells you will face is super low.

My solution would be to add a "Triland of <choice>" slot, if you want one. The full cycle of 10 is too much, but letting one player get their on-color tri-land is generally fine.

I like this argument. Basically, your fixing will be pretty aggro-friendly if you already have double shock/fetch, and what you do from there kind of adds texture in terms of how you want playing / drafting to play out.

I like that Oath of Nissa being Legendary is super duper irrelevant, but is there only for the sake of the cycle.
