Never apologize for derailing. :) What do you like in Magic? That's a good starting point for the Luxor floor. Start with what excites you and build from there. To clarify: I do think Grillo's answer is appropriate, but also agree that there's room for us to elaborate and explore the...

I was going to type a response to B8R but I'd just be repeating what Grillo said.

This is a good point. I not really experienced Innocent Blood backfiring first-hand much, but I'm sure the potential is there. That said, I do like when players have to sideboard thoughtfully based on the matchup.

Uh... I think 1-3 times a week. We just tidily delete them when we see them, they're fairly obvious. Didn't even see the domain, that's pretty funny. Seems like (based on the name) the type of dumb internet site that is filled with fake facts and doesn't get updated for 12 years.

Article ChannelFireball: Grid Drafting and Tenchester

Oh, the grid draft is different. All the VoDs seem to have disappeared (my bad), but basically I have an R script that creates a thread here on RiptideLab (see Forum Games subforum), and then we get on Skype and go through the packs. Not that fancy of a thing. Our data collection is pretty...

I'm not really a fan of Scion Summoner. I don't think the extra point of power warrants another mana on top of Nest Invader.

    The Board Game Thread

I think Avalon is the most fun to be had in the boardgaming world right now. I've played it with so many different groups and it's always been a "just one more game" play for hours hit, even with complete non-gamers.

Because we needed new ways to make Skullclamp good. Wait, Outfitter makes it worse? I'm so confused.

*SPOILERS* Star Wars: The Force Awaken

How likely is it that Rey was abandoned on fake Tattoine to save her from people hunting down Jedi / people related to Skywalker? There's gotta be something to her background.

Card/Deck Hybrid 1 drops: Dimir sucks

Neither card you linked seems overpowered at 1-mana, but neither excites me either. Some of the other hybrids listed appear a little overwhelming for a powered cube. If you're willing to change costs I may take a look at your UG and BW slots, for example.

Article ChannelFireball: Grid Drafting and Tenchester

Hey, thanks for the comment. Full disclosure: I haven't played it yet. That said, I'm a little surprised Glimpse Drafting took so long to be formally named. One of my first ever cube drafts had us sitting in an apartment with 4 people, so we did 6 packs of "take-1 burn-1" to see the whole...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

These are some good points. I do wonder if there are some lessons we can't port from Pauper. The effects are much less swingy, and one of the most prominent decks is a tempo deck that can get ahead then hold up Mana Leak / Counterspell / Faeries all game. I'm not sure what the lesson is though.
