Sets [KTK] Khans of Tarkir Spoilers

No, I agree. It's an interesting card that is sure to do some work in limited (and nowhere else).

    If we're being pedantic, it's 4 + 3 + 2. :) Pay for your Overrun in installments.

    Yes, it's the 9-mana disrupt-able overrun I've always wanted!

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Eh, charge counters are fine. They have interaction. Not untapping is also a complexity cost and another thing to keep track of in the game.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

I don't think I like that argument. Reminds me of a MODO format where you have durdle decks and monored decks.

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

It is super slow, likely too slow, unless your environment is suuuuper weak.

I'm not sure I follow the argument.

I'm interested in playing and commentating on lists but don't really have the desire to make one myself.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Dreampod Druid sounds like a card you guys made up. I had to Google it to see that it was real. Well, kind of real.

    General Making Aggro more inclusive

Yeah, it's fair. It might not be good, but it's fair.

Yeah, I mean, Tinker places a lot of design restraints on your environment, but there's not really a "right" answer. I am glad that there are cubes out there that run it thoughtfully.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Ehhhh that's a big stretch. Game needs to drag on several more turns before you get more value out of this thing than Tidings, which is less cost-prohibitive. Future Sight gets out of control when you have low-power environments where players aren't threatening to kill early. I've heard the...

    General Making Aggro more inclusive

I've played a cube where Tinker into Staff of Nin felt like a very appropriate option. Tinker is at its best when you are benefiting from its flexibility rather than its cheatiness. If your players are tanking over which artifact to tutor up while still feeling like they get solid value then I...

    General Beginner Mistakes

Yesterday somebody emailed me with a 360 cube that had 82 gold cards. Got me thinking on an article with beginner mistakes. Give me beginner mistakes from your cubing past! (or that you have observed) Things I was thinking: - overly narrow "archetypes" (e.g. Dream Halls) - venturing too far...

Grillo, what's up with your cube and 3-drops?

These cards played so well in E-Domain that I brought Volt Charge into my main cube. Gambit could probably make the transition too. It doesn't take a lot for these cards to feel really good to play with.
