City of Brass is out of mine for being too good. But that's a pretty weak argument and I wouldn't begrudge anyone for running it.

Eric, I don't know if you've tried it, but I really like running an assortment of 5C lands with a drawback in the utility stack. Like, 5-6 total.

Yes, that's what I do, but other people add and remove some cards. Presumably these are getting wiped from the decks too?

Hi Vince, is it me or are the images you linked to on photobucket super tiny? Maybe I just don't know how to use them correctly. In any case Eric will be in to take a look.

I think it's also important to note how much better fetchlands are for three-color decks than the Shockland / Checklands. A fetchland in the right deck can grab all of your colors, and depending on the land, grab any relevant two-color shock/dual.

This looks pretty good. I do think some of the monocolor sections could be a little deeper though. There are lands you aren't running that get taken every draft here.

I am seeing a bug in the "Decks" section, where only the basic lands are showing up. E.g. http://cubetutor.com/draftdeck/1182

Oh, now I remember my favorite play of the night. On the draw I play T2 Augur of Bolas, and my opponent plays T3 Call of the Herd. I topdeck Stonecloaker, exiling the Call of the Herd and rebuying the Augur. So much value for 3 mana.

Nothing too spectacular, but having an 8/8 Figure of Destiny and an 8/8 Phantasmal Image on the board at the same time is pretty satisfying. Not too bad for a 1-drop and 2-drop.

Have you done a lot of 4-player grid drafting? I really haven't played the 4-player variant much, curious how it's performed for you.

We drafted tonight and I really didn't want to play Magic after a really long work day. Forced UWR tempo. By pick 4 I had Ral Zarek, Lightning Helix, Geist of Saint Traft and a fetchland. 3 - 0. Moorland Haunt is really good. Halimar Depths is fantastic. Figure of Destiny is OP.

Yeah, let's rock the blue. Also we tried the semi-transparent thing on the front page, but I like the structure of the hard visible rectangular boundaries.

That's a pretty bold claim. I guess it could depend on the deck, but... hmmm... I still think Koth is much better.

Article Channel Waddell: Cube Draft #2

Hi Sterling, thanks for posting. I don't disagree with any of your points. My local players can attest that I usually stick to a very low curve. I've played control decks that top out at 4 CMC, and as my environment skews towards a Legacy style I think that's usually correct. But as a designer I...
