    Jason Waddell's Cube

No, I never said too strong. I was simply saying that of the two (and they really are competing for a slot) I find Brimstone Volley to be more interesting as a design. Having to figure out a way to get Morbid online is very fun, and it plays well with my sacrifice theme. Red is fairly well...

    Eric Chan's Modern cube (405)

I played against Blood Scrivener once. My opponent played him out with an empty hand, and I killed it with Tragic Slip (there's that card again) before he could untap.

General M14 RULES CHANGES ARE KILLING MAGIC, I'M GONNA QUIT

The last time we ran into the Planeswalker rule (it's been a while) was when a newcomer played Jace Beleren with his own JTMS on the field. We let him undo it, of course.

I'm in Book 3 now, and it's starting to feel more work-like to trudge through it. I am, however, happy to see the introduction of a third perspective character, who happens to have one of the best visual descriptions ever:

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

It's probably super incorrect but sometimes Shelldock goes undrafted here.

    Eric Chan's Modern cube (405)

Drafted it online or in person? Interested either way. Eric: Not that anything is "uncuttable", but I would be a little sad to see Dark Confidant go (at least from my cube). The life-loss is often very relevant, and I find it to be a very fun card to have around. If something has to be OP...

Article An Off-Color Joke: Fixing, DGR, Cube, and You

I agree with Benny that there were some loose ends in the article. Then again, there's only so much ground you can cover in 1500 words. Looking forward to the next one Chris!

General M14 RULES CHANGES ARE KILLING MAGIC, I'M GONNA QUIT

I really liked Little Jace killing Big Jace, and silly tricks involving blinking an Oblivion Ring to legend rule two things at once. On the whole not too concerned. These types of interactions are pretty rare in cube as is.

    Sets [MCD] M14 previews

When I saw Liliana's Reaver, the first card that popped to mind is Ashling, the Extinguisher. Both cards have the same cost, similar bodies, and a beneficial trigger on dealing combat damage to a player. Obviously Liliana's Reaver is much more effective on an empty board. Some difference in...

    Sets [MCD] M14 previews

Just a heads up, the Young Pyromancer article was fairly well trafficked, so if anyone wants to take a stab at any other card previews I'd be happy to post it.

It was "Kafka on the Shore", and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Murakami has a great way for writing dialogue and narration from "unintelligent" characters. "After Dark" was a strange and light read, and "Wind-Up Bird Chronicles" is what I would consider to be quintessential Murakami. I'm...

Article An Off-Color Joke: Fixing, DGR, Cube, and You

When you say 8-lands per drafter, is that exclusively fixing lands, or are you including others in that count as well?

    Card/Deck Supporting Pox

I really like your Anthems Chris. Glorious Anthem is a fun effect but is slightly overpriced for a cube power level. Yours feel more on par with what I'd be looking for.

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

Well, the last Murakami book I read had a protagonist that was mentally retarded and could speak to cats. That was at least a little unique.

Well, the quote is spoken by a leader of a cult, so take from that what you will. I also think that he (like many authors) makes some implicit distinction between his unique protagonist and the nameless others that form society.
