Had an opponent try to rules lawyer me at an fnm when I first got back into magic. he flooded out at one point, decided to die by mana burn rather than me attacking him because I didn't "deserve the win." I told him that mana burn was no longer part of the game and asked if I could attack yet.

Maybe it will be a triggered ability next year?
