I think this idea has potential. My hesitation regarding lands specifically is that the way I personally would build a cube with bouncelands would be very different than the way I would build it with fetchlands. Land destruction, for example, I would probably not run at all in the former...

I do think it's kind of odd that almost all the discussion in this thread has centered around enchantment-style triggers, e.g. "whenever a creature...". On the creature itself I like the Hearthstone style shortening. "Whenever CARDNAME enters the battlefield..." versus "Summon - " Especially...

I think the deceptive thing about Ruinator is that it doesn't really need enablers. It benefits from them, but in an interactive cube with lots of removal / draw, graveyards fill up quickly.

I feel like you make it more enticing to draft by killing people with it. It also works well in a Kirb-style Thraben Inspector setting, with cantrip-on-legs creatures to fill up your graveyard. Unearth Birthing Pod Bloodbraid Elf Ways to cheat it into play are also nice to have.

I think CML has just moved on from Magic. I have him on Facebook and he seems very happy. I don't really know. CML was very good at verbalizing why bad designs were bad. Mostly he seemed very critical of WOTC culture, so I'm sure he'd have very colorful things to say these days.
