    General Removing Green From Cube

It does work with my top-of-library thing going on.

    Card/Deck Multipost

Yeah, putting Wasteland back up to 4 has been on my to-do list. 26 fetches was fine but maybe excessive. 25 fetch / 4 waste is next on the test sheet.

    Card/Deck Multipost

I don't know if I ever mentioned it here, but 3/3 was too strong. I've been running 3 Cloud / 2 Glimmer. We had a Cloudpost deck make a finals. There was some debate over whether 3 Cloudpost / 2 Glimmer was too strong. On person suggested 2 Cloudpost / 3 Glimmer as a fix, and others claimed...

Oh yes, forgot about this card. Green top. Hmmmmmm...

I wonder if this needs to be true?

    General Making Aggro more inclusive

Just an FYI that's a metric fuckton of gold cards. For reference, predominantly people run ~3 per guild (sometimes 4) at 360. Running so many is going to really mess with draft dynamics in a way that may not be entirely desirable. EDIT: I see you addressed this in a later post, but maybe going...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Yeah, a lot of this is superficial overlap though. High Market got played in both, but the others don't really cut it. Maybe after I tune the sacrifice package again I can revisit lifegain. Little things like cutting Tidehollow Sculler for Gerrard's Verdict were making a big difference in...

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

Is there some threshold mechanic we can invent? Or reuse?

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

Hey Anotak, remember that drake card you had that bounced when you played a land? Is there a way to build fun interactions on that? e.g. :b:, Sorcery Destroy target creature you control and target creature you don't control. I dunno, something to break the symmetry.

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

This card is pretty broken as you've costed it. If you play your land for the turn and cast it you already get Arc Trail+. Fetch and cast it and you're doing 6 damage. I had this same effect on Page 2 or whatever as 1 damage to target creature or player, so that off a fetch you get Arc...

Well, I think Landstorm should perhaps only count lands that ETB'd under your control, but doing it the other way certainly changes dynamics of when you crack your own fetches. It feels weird to punish opponents for fetching by casting instants on their turn.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I actually like it, despite Eric thinking I don't. It was mostly a size problem. I had to cut into the sacrifice theme to get the lifegain theme to work, and then the sacrifice theme wasn't performing as I'd like. It was pretty fun to play and had an interesting range of deck options. Maybe...

    General Otherworldly Magic Effects

Trivination has me thinking. What if the colors were driven by some weird identity. Like, part of this color's identity could be "some for you, more for me". {1}C, Instant Cardname deals 5 damage to target creature you don't control, and 2 damage to target creature you do control.

    General Otherworldly Magic Effects

Let's say there were a cube with new colors, say, uh.. Purple Cyan Orange Brown (Lime?) Silver (colors and arrangement up for discussion) What would be some simple, yet fresh ways you would approach effects like counterspells, burn, etc. How can we give new colors identities that feel new...

    General Removing Green From Cube

I liked Anotak's idea of doing a cube with 5 brand new colors better than jamming a 6th.

    General Removing Green From Cube

I am all for experimentation. My main reservation here would be deck diversity. A lot of the diversity in a draft environment is traditionally driven by allowing the drafters to draft different color combinations, and removing a color takes a lot of that away. Instead of 10 two-color and...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I don't think I've ever not run Hell's Thunder. Play it, sac it. I think it's an auto-include if you're going to run sac-themes. Gerrard's Verdict is fine, but you won't miss it. I liked the decisions it made when I ran the lifegain theme, but outside of that it's not that essential.

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

Hmmm... hybrid. Did we move into this direction because of the comment about pack size? Because I don't really think, statistically, that the number of playables you get is greatly influenced by pack size. And I certainly wouldn't want it to drive the high-level design for that reason only.

The first column indicates the draft structure for when that set has been released. e.g. after the release of "Louie", the draft will be Louie/Louie/Dewie.
