The last time I followed friends in a Team GP they went 0 - 6 (hi Niki!).

If you have a flat power level there is much less incentive to be in extra colors. :P

I have considered them. That'll be in Wave 2 of testing. For now I mostly want cards that are good that happen to produce tokens. I do have Broodwarden in there though. There's certainly room to push the token theme harder. But, I think that cards like Mikaeus, the Lunarch are of much higher...

Man, what is with the Gemstone Mine hate I keep seeing? I don't think I've ever lost a game from running out of counters. In a fast cube, three turns worth of mana is usually plenty. The resource management is very fun too. 10/10. Awesome card.

You may be right about the discard. I do want to use all the Morbid cards that I can, as it's a pretty major part of the design. Also, not everyone is trying to land haymakers. ROE format had its fair share of "normal" decks. I really don't know about the dynamics. I need to make Eldrazi...

I think you underestimate how wide the power curves are even in a traditional cube. There's a pretty huge difference between 1st and 15th pick.

Yeah, Sewer Nemesis mills slowly, but I never thought of that as the point. He gets huge pretty quickly, and has great synergy with the other milling cards. I don't even run a mill theme, and I would include Sewer Nemesis if I had 1 or 2 more black 4-drop slots. I also think Nemesis of Reason...

Good to hear! Yes, indeed, that looks like a deck from my new cube. Oh, I don't know if this is possible, but the ability to, with one click or something, classify all non-creature spells as "non-creature" or something like that could be very useful. I have a difficult time looking at the curve...

Man, the OCTGN Netrunner plug-in is well made, great looking and easy to use (after a couple practice games). I like using this thing a lot more than MTGO. Can't wait to get better so that I can dip my toe in the deckbuilding waters.

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

I uploaded the list to CubeTutor (http://cubetutor.com/viewcube/625). As expected it drafts pretty terribly and needs a ton of work. I probably have too many narrow cards, and simultaneously not enough structure to direct the picks. I think I just need to systematically go through these drafts...

Hey Lebenski, thanks so much for your work! The bulk uploader is working perfectly. Well, almost. :) It says it doesn't find the two split cards, but then when you go to the actual cube they are there. So it finds exactly 360 cards (yay!) and leaves the fuse cards behind in the "scrap" pile...

    Arjan Ang's (Modern-faced) Cube

How have the Eldrazi been in your cube? I see you have the BUG mill/self mill thing going on, but you're missing some cards I would perhaps expect from that package, like Sewer Nemesis and Consuming Abberation. I think I'm going to have to steal this piece of tech for my Eldrazi cube:

Yes, Swords can be fun in small doses. Games won by protection tend to be anticlimactic though. I wish they didn't have protection, and made up for this with some small power boost elsewhere. Cubes play out extremely differently in Winston/Winchester/Grid than in a full 8-man draft. I almost...

I'll also chime in to say that in the article, I was playing a very straightforward deck with not too many interesting lines, which was a bit disappointing. The one thing many cubes are missing is the RPS mechanic that keeps spot removal in check. If you look at Legacy, any deck can play...

Well, I agree with you that it's annoying to fiddle with Vivid counters. But, running out of counters is never an issue with them, and I don't even think of it as a 5cc thing. Also, with shard lands you have twice as much fixing for allied colors as enemy colors, if that's important to you...

Less "low power" then a focus on making sure that the most powerful strategies are fun and interactive. That said this Eldrazi-Domain cube is much lower power than my primary cube.
