I actually find Deathtouch to be massively underrated in general. Sure, it's not as good if you're facing down a board of 1/1s, but it's pretty interesting how often people are unwilling to trade off cards if it just feels like they've lost out on the exchange resource wise. People will let in...

Thus far, I don't think I have a single add from this set. Silas Renn, Seeker Adept, you were so close. If only it had said "play" instead of "cast". Now how am I supposed to get that insane value from looting away my Seat of the Synod or Vault of Whispers?

I love the Ravos art (and it's going to be a foil this time!) and his abilities, but he just feels a tad overcosted at 5 mana. He's going to die to most everything as a 2/2 and I can't imagine that he'll get in all that often in the air that late in the game. I like the anthem and Gravedigger...

Elegant is probably a bad choice of words on my part. I think it's more that Painlands just aren't as universally vaunted or useful as the other options I have available. My cube is pretty high powered, so drafter naturally assume that there is an appropriate level of fixing to match. You want...

Drafted safra's main cube, went into BR Kiki: www.cubetutor.com/cubedeck/627739"] Zeroes 1 Mox Diamond Ones 1 Firebolt 1 Lightning Axe Twos 1 Bloodghast 1 Heir of Falkenrath 1 Magma Jet 1 Smother 1 Talisman of Indulgence 1 Tormenting Voice Threes 1 Cultivator's Caravan 1 Exquisite...

Yeah, this was the hard part. There are just too many good UB options now. I've currently got the following: Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas Dragonlord Silumgar Baleful Strix Contraband Kingpin Gisa and Geralf Silumgar's Command Silas is cool, but I don't think he is as useful as any of these. I...

The problem I had with the Painland cycle was that they just weren't appealing if you weren't especially aggressive or had like 3 of the Eldrazi in your build. I just never found myself wanting a Llanowar Wastes in a GB build unless I was hurting for fixing. Even then, having to ping yourself to...

If you have any of the 3-4 mana deal 4 burn effects, things can snowball REALLY fast. Much too strong 1v1 for me. I like the new UB guy as well, Deathtouch is just underrated in general, but sadly I've already bumped my UB section up to 6 cards with Gisa and Geralf so he'll have to be on the...

Well, I finally got some inspiration earlier this week and got around to changing around some stuff + adding Kaladesh cards. I've made way too many minor tweaks here and there to list out the individual card swaps (thanks for all the drafts this week!), but I might as well address how some of...

Sold on the Chromatic Star, the worst case is cycling for 2 which I've done a number of times with Unearth already. It's never going to be outright bad, and it can really shine in any of the Welder/Daretti decks supplying extra value. I like the idea of Squee and abusing him with a loot effect...

I'd like thoughts on these two cards from people who have been running them in their lists: Chromatic Star Squee, Goblin Nabob

Also I drafted these decks from Dom's Cube. I knew something was weird when I saw like 5 Hallowed Fountains in P2 and I'm like hold up wait what:

Thanks for drafting! I've never seen a Boros Pod deck and that Aristocrats list looks like straight gas. Skywhaler's Shot was a card that I initially didn't even pay attention to until I saw LSV's Limited review where he gave it a pretty high rating. And after playing with it twice through...

Thanks! I'll admit that Delver is a bit of a relic here and only shines within the UR Spells deck that comes together every now and then. Being a 420 list, it's not within the draft pool every time so I'm not as worried about it. Ah yes, Waste mana is an interesting topic and one I've thought...

Drafted Grillo's Penny Pincher, ended up with the following: www.cubetutor.com/cubedeck/625730"] Ones 1 Doomed Traveler 1 Gideon's Lawkeeper 1 Magmatic Insight Twos 1 Aviary Mechanic 1 Journey to Nowhere 1 Porcelain Legionnaire 1 Think Twice Threes 1 Aven Riftwatcher 1 Emancipation...

Torrential Gearhulk is the control savior we've been waiting for. All hail the Iron Giant.

I was thinking of a few changes for my cube with a Kaladesh patch and was thinking of how I would slot Pia Nalaar in. Pia and Kiran Nalaar have been great, but I don't want those back-to-back with such similar effects. Then I remembered this guy from Origins: Thopter Engineer When it was...

The lifestyle of a pro isn't glamorous in the least, especially if you're a hardcore grinder, but this guy just seems super depressed beyond Magic.

I just tried drafting the PT cube twice now. I got stuck midway through pack 2 both times and didn't know what to draft at all. Everything was too narrow or crappy or off color. I really don't understand how you navigate your way through unless literally everyone else at the table cements...

This is my biggest regret. I usually pick up foils early for cube and I had the U/B/R Gearhulks on my short list. I was busy Friday/Saturday and forgot about the PT till Saturday afternoon. By then it was too late, already spiked up to $45+. Hopefully they dip back down in a month to a...
