General Balancing gold levels in a makeshift cube

gotta be able to take it when you dish it out!

anyway it's an honor to be in this forum's orbit. i still think cube theory is as underdeveloped as MTG theory in general (likely due to lack of economic incentive on both sides -- not enough money for players; too much for WotC) but it's nice to be on the front lines because the alternative would be to play the Legacy cube on Modo and try endlessly, futilely, to convince myself I was having a good time and i should really trust the designers.

To be fair, I would imagine that the new modo cube might be fun the first time even for one of us. Maybe a couple more times for a NOOB. And let's face it, endless cubing is not fun.

sure, why not?

i mean, it is bad and everything but i do wonder if we can learn a few things from it, maybe idiosyncratic card choices or how to make something that has replay value or that people perceive to have replay value

I think there's plenty of fun to be had in mindless magic. If I didn't play so terribly online and just wish I was sitting around playing with my friends I would cube on mtgo.
