Lole my go cube is so bad you can have only four 2 cc spells and a billion 3cc and you still snap play bloodrush 4/4s.

I know I usually ridicule people for this shit but how huge is your raj does section where you are cubing every hell kite you can get your hands on.

Did another draft of that MTGO peasant cube! This time I 3-0'd as is right and proper

[....]
my opponent is Alex Bertoncini
okay seriously what people would lend cards from their cubes to fuckin bertoncini that just seems like such a bad idea

I always assumed people gave collateral in exchange for cube cards in mtgo.

This was an invite-only Facebook group, no collateral. It'd be hard to take the cards and run I think.

swift warkite won a couple games actually, both with the hasty dude and being a 4/4 flier
i had aggro twos and a reckless waif but i opted for the lategame build and still curved out tapland>2>3>4 most games. felt good!

i'm undefeated against him and his girlfriend too now, lol
can't wait to add more data points

Final turn of my game last night:
- Draw my last card. No more cards. It's a land.
- I am at 2 life. My solitary creature is a 0/1 Goat. Dead on board, so the cards thing won't be an issue. Good to know.
- My opponent is at 7 life.
- Play Pyrite Spellbomb.
- Spellbomb my opponent's face! 5 life!
- Sacrifice the goat with Trading Post. Return Pyrite Spellbomb to my hand.
- Play Pyrite Spellbomb.
- Spellbomb my opponent's face! 3 life!
- Lightning Bolt and win!

Something about being dead twice over and only being saved by sacrificing a goat appealed to me.

Hmm, since I love Trinket Mage so much, should I be running some spell bombs? I think I will add some when I add my sharpied 3 mana Trading Post.

Diakonov: Snap! Same here.

I've just noticed that Necrogen Spellbomb lets you force a discard at instant speed - if you're able to recur it every turn via something like Trading Post, you can eat a card from your opponent's hand in their draw step and possibly lock them out the game in a fun-killing fashion. Way too narrow to be good, but kind of interesting.

Pod has been doing exceptionally well, either 3-0ing or doing really well. It won last draft vs a zoo deck that was pretty fast in the finals leading to both the pod player and another person to ask me to boot the card from the cube.

Now I know I don't have my cube list up, but in general are there some good anti pod weapons lying around? I really don't want to cut it, since it's one of the things that make midrange more interesting and I've had superfun games vs pod. On the same token I want people to have a chance to battle it.

Some of those feel a bit hamhanded but some artifact removal might be one way to do it. The others have the draw back of hitting mana bases, which may or may not be something you'd wanna do.

Probably. One comment I got was that Pod was an auto pic. I think maybe the way I want the pod decks to play out is these synergy centric combo decks that assembles its pieces with the help of the tutoring of pod. I was killed a really cool way by a pod player podding up his falkenrath aristocrat, who blew up his entire board and swung for lethal. That's exciting magic for me, and maybe I should add some more hate cards as well as removing the stuff that just makes for podding into thragtusk and undying creatures.

Yeah id say just find more artifact/enchant removal. This was something i didnt do for a while and my players started getting pretty salty about it. I know Naturalize effects get a bad rap here but they're still important.

This is actually the first time I've heard somebody call pod in cube overpowered. It's very average in my cube. What are other people's experiences?

Rasmus, any ways your environment deviates from the norm?

It deviates even less now than it did a few weeks ago. I think the problem was partly that I drafted a 6 man with some very important archetype cards in the leftover 90 cards (partially accidentally baiting a player into drafting a reanimator deck that by chance barely had any of its card in the draft) and there being to few naturalizes. I'm probably sticking to my guns and just keeping the double pod in just to have a boogie man. The people who lost to pod didn't have particularly good decks, so I'm not sure its actually a problem with the cube.
