General [DFT] Aetherdrift

Looking at the full gallery, something like a third of the Aetherdrift Alchemy cards are designs that could work cleanly in Paper. Like so:

It’s very annoying that this isn’t a paper card. I’d probably run it

They did that in Duskmourn too:

and if you count things that could easily have been made paper, but as worded aren't:

Seven cards out of thirty that feel like they came from the cutting board of the main set (imo) is a pretty high ratio.

e: also where is the full gallery, I literally cannot find it - tried dailymtg (if it's there it's hiding), magic.gg (esports only), magicspoiler/mtggoldfish/mythicspoiler (none of them do alchemy?), googling it took me to a Reddit post to a YouTube link which I sure as hell am not clicking on, I want still images... I'm too old for the internet, apparently.

This card is actually really fun and works in paper without adjustment. Nice little mind game that doesn't feel oppressive at this mana value. If I were to be comfortable running Arena-only cards, I'd be very interested in this one.

Double team sucks as a mechanic but it does play very well (when it attacks, you get a second copy in your hand and both of them lose the ability). In an era where I'm probably going to cut my aristocrats support in half, this is the perfect midrange version of the effect. It may only trigger once per turn, but I've been pretty happy with Vraan, Executioner Thane in my non-combo aristocrats decks (i.e. the ones that actually seem to work) and this ends up being similar, especially once you've got two on the table. On a 2/1 flying body, this effect is much better than a 0/1, which more than makes up for the limited ability otherwise. I think this is totally fair while still being legacy Cubeable and wish it were a real card.
