General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Yeah, at that point, it doesn't matter what you have you want that it will be good. Of course, it's best with Nektrataal, Venser and friends, but anything works, really.
I would say anything where the EtB is, at least in some situations, better than the 1/1 flier. I also like it with cards that can draw you more noncreature spells with their etb. For example, draw a card might be worse sometimes, but if you have the mana open you can potentially draw into another spell, and then still get the spirit token.
Venser? Ew.

I'ld pick etb creatures with mv <4 maybe? There's many good ones, depending on your power band, ranging from Ajani, Nacatl Pariah and Snapcaster Mage to Blade Splicer and Reflector Mage to Charming Prince and Aether Channeler.
What ETB creatures go well with this?

I am looking for an answer to this oldie.
Appearently it hoses many of my decks and is being run in a deck that has an abundance of lands and stuff like Exploration. Currently my only solution is something like Rest in Peace + Tectonic Edge but is there something else? Something simpler?
My villain utilizes it with more than just stuff like Life from the Loam and Aftermath Analyst where he lets it die and brings it back. He also copies it from the grave with Echoing Deeps. He can also copy it with Vesuva and Thespian’s Stage before he sacrifices it. It’s a real problem actually

If one creates a deck which utilises many sub-optimal parts (understatement) then one should be rewarded. You could add counterplay to it if it is too strong. It sound like you do not have graveyard hate , and the chasm is just an example of the issues which arise from not having an answer to that. There are two solutions: either add counterplay or remove it from your cube. Either one could lead to a great cube.

I didn’t say because I didn’t want to stifle creativity but my deck is Azorius. Spreading could be fun to try.
