What if when you drafted one (from say, Utility land draft), you got 3 copies. Could we make this work? Does this support lifegain? Ramp? Are there ways that we can support decks possibly wanting to spend absurd amounts of colorless mana?

Go wild with ideas please.

From a mana standpoint, this is a solid idea IMO. I might try this.

While we are on the topic, what about the Urza lands? Similar idea, but you'd need all three for it to be worth it.

Yeah, but in cube it won't be nearly as focused. And it has potential overlap with the lifegain theme, and expedition map is sweet anyways. Would we consider tossing in a single Ulamog? A second Primevel Titan?

A single eldrazi is pretty interesting to have running around. I ran Artizan of Kozilek for a while, which was fun with the reanimator theme. Ancient stirrings?

I gotta post pictures for when I scroll through this looking for ideas later on. :) I ran Artisan a long time ago too. I used to reanimate, but now I elevate!

Okay, Cloudpost is legit. And super super fun to build and play.

Current rule: you spend two picks to take the whole batch of six at once. It's not powerful enough to require 3 picks, and opening the possibility of getting hatedrafted is super dumb and feels bad and has no real benefit.

Observations: This is a ramp deck that doesn't require green. It helps, obviously. Further, and more importantly, this is a ramp deck that doesn't require elves. You can play mass removal in your cube ramp deck, for like, the first time ever. This is huge. It plays like no cube deck you have played while not being poisonous or fucking up draft dynamics at all.

And it's so much fun. Christmas Christ.

awesome, i'm trying this next time. how does this work practically, 3 cloudposts in a single sleeve and 3 glimmerposts too? is this the right number of them? should i be pushing more artifacts like Oblivion Stone or whatever? more land tutor? etc.

as for "mass removal in cube ramp," i've been trying to do this with Utopia Sprawl and Rampant Growth and Search for Tomorrow and the kind of non-creature ramp that you'd see in a Valakut deck, say, but I agree it wasn't coming together as I'd've liked it to, and I didn't really have the slots

Posts are in the Utility Land Draft, just aligned in a block vertically so it's clear they are together. It doesn't need much support, but check the 3 - 0 thread for ideas. I am putting in Kozilek, and stuff like Toxic Deluge certainly helps. There's a lot of work to be done on the archetype.

3+3 is the correct number for a 40 card deck.

I've been trying this exact same thing for months, with the likes of Sakura-Tribe Elder, Farseek, Wall of Roots, and other "sturdier" forms of ramp than your typical fragile Birds of Paradise and Llanowar Elves. But as far as I can remember, a green ramp deck hasn't won in the last year, and maaaaaaaybe one green ramp deck has ever run the table in the three years I've drafted this cube.

I kind of hate to take away this core part of green's identity and move it to colorless lands, of all things. But hopefully there are some lessons I can pick up from you guys on how to boost my ramp archetype in general.

I really like the idea of having a B/W or U/R Cloudpost deck. Ramp was never an integral part of green to me anyway.
