That glare art is ballin'.

Whenever a colorless creature ETBs under your control, you may have ~'s base power and toughness become the base power and toughness of that creature until end of turn.
It is consistently inconsistent.

Besides cute flavor text (and being a 2/1 I guess) this just feels less fun than renegade doppelganger.

I have traditionally been a fan of handful of narrow cards that are good in control or whatever (Condemn for example) to sort of throw a bone for certain decks, but with each set I feel more and more squeezed for space so narrow cards look less and less good to me when I have several viable choices. I love the art on this, just not sure the card itself brings enough of what I need to supplant other options.

The text isn't centered though :(

They don't do this often enough- for how much time they have before cards actually get printed this is a bit embarrassing IMO. Serum Visions FNM promo was a huge punt.

Did a bit of reading- apparently 'The Gatewatch" is the multiverse Avengers going forward, and I'm not really sure how I feel about that.
A new card they've likely had backlogged for... ever... so I guess they decided this is as close to "planeswalkers matter" as they're getting, and with it being the advent of their new story device, I agree.

I have a huge soft spot for conditional tutors. That said, as a sorcery, I'm very doubtful that it's cubeable for me at 3 mana, especially since I've also been on the PW purge kick. Maybe I'm getting old and jaded but I feel like so many cards from BFZ and OTG are strictly there as "this is tolerable in standard and the EDH kids will go crazy for it!"

Never thought I'd see a bear+unsummon for 3 in standard again, gold or not, and they one-upped it! Awesome card for sure. Linvala is a fine card but a little boring- both of these being ETBs and not cast triggers is great though.

I don't hate this card. I mean it's not amazing but it pleases me.

I'm pretty excited for Jori. It's an Edric, Spymaster of Trest for Izzet. Edric I think is the better card - comes online faster, is potentially more broken since it can trigger multiple times. But edric can blank occasionally depending on the board state and sometimes you risk a bad attack because you want (need) the triggers and he dies during combat to a removal spell and the game is just over. Jori is slower but the CA is more guaranteed. And that color combination can play a few different flavors of tempo because of what each brings, making this an interesting card in several builds. Just like surge, I think the two spells a turn trigger is fairly easy to meet too (especially if doing so is drawing you into more gas). Great design even if it's not breaking into the higher power lists. I think it's going to work in mine.

Yeah, Herald of Kozilek has been very underwhelming so far, so I was still looking for a replacement. Looks like this will do fine!

As an aside: is it just me or do the new {U/R} legends in Commander 2015 just suck. Quite a shame they squandered that opportunity.

Reflector Mage is awesome, I'll definitely give that a go. New Linvala is pretty boring to me, don't think I'll be giving it a run. Beautiful art but it's just a catch-up card. I really wish it were a 5 drop so that I could Bring to Light for it though, that would have been so much fun.

I think the mark of a good multicolor card is one that I wouldn't run a weaker version of given it was mono-color.

So supreme verdict, no. Just add another wrath.
Sphinx's Rev? Well, it's an improvement on stroke of genius.

This... well it's cool, but is it cool enough to be a better idea than just adding another man o war?
