I always find this card groan-worthy
Also are bad puns considered bad flavour text?
the ones with old borders are amazing. also cards like gorilla titan have great flavor text, while cards like avacyn, angel of hope do not.

Just had a flick through KTK. Most of the text isn't 'face, meet palm'-bad, but some are pretty woeful.
Because in the desert that the Abzan inhabit, running out of spears is the big concern, which is why we don't want supply lines, except when we do.
Well... I didn't say it was a very good secret.
So much modern text feels like I am watching a nature documentary. It is so matter of fact, and while I appreciate the world building, I feel I would appreciate at least a little joy being taken in the telling of it.

I dunno how you guys feel about it, but I always enjoy this guy's flavor text. I guess it's probably because I love that guy, but maybe also cuz it references its previous self and the fact that being a goblin shaman is just a strange thing for goblins pf the mtg-verse.
A lot of the bad flavor text can be grouped into: "This creature/spell is legitimately big and scary! Whoaaaa duuude! So scary!" -- Timbob the Smaller Creature

They aren't; its largely a question of how you feel about the Iliad and poetry.
Its bad flavor text to begin with, and when you consider the source material, its really disappointing.
