Mark of Eviction has a very weird effect on the development of a game in that it taxes both players, but for both players the 'payment' is optional. It's an interesting card and I like it a great deal. In a cube with fewer ETB creatures it is probably better because no one wants to put this on a...
I love MOBAs and Heroes of the Storm is a vast improvement over games like LOL and DotA. I mean, I liked LOL, but when I played it I was always consciously aware of how incredibly flawed the game experience was and how much I was putting up with those flaws so that I could enjoy the good parts...
I like the fast flying clock combined with the ability to make outclassed bodies into potential threats even if she's dealt with, making her useful both in grindy/topdeck situations and crowded board situations (where she often forces bad blocks). Theoretically I like the +1/+1 counter synergy...
Abzan Ascendancy is the pushed version of this card, but, yeah, 3 colors. In spite of that, I'd run it over field of souls. Field of souls did basically nothing for me, even if RKF is OP. Amping your 1 and 2 drop is huge (see travel preparations).
I don't think Ink Eyes is too powerful for your environment. In order for her to give you any stability when you cast her you need:
1) A creature that cam actually get in.
2) A creature in the opponent's graveyard that actually provides you with some stability
3) 5 mana
That's a pretty...
Obsessive Search is awesome. Is this card awesome too? The effect kinda sucks. Its not like Strategic Planning is making most lists. But, its a madness card that enables madness itself, it fills the graveyard and it gives you a little bit a card selection. Seems like a good package. Does...
It doesn't trigger heroic, but it does trigger constellation.
I like the card better then Ethereal Armor, which I've happily played in the past. I think it'll perform comparably to Wordmail and Hyena Umbra, both of which I run. I like that these three cards have vastly different pros and...
I think both of those zombie makers are playable. The madness burn cards are all playable (Temper, Violent Eruption, and the new red one). The new madness infest is probably terrible, mostly because most of the looters are creatures and it'll kill them. The new black 3/5 vampire with madness...
Rancor is definitely better. The difference between 1 and 4 to recast isn't even close. That doesn't mean Gryff's isn't playable. Rancor is the best card in my cube. There's room below rancor.
I'd much rather be here, mostly because you can wait to discard the card and have all your mana to pay for madness. Also, with sorcery speed removal, you don't get 2-1'd before you get in an attak. Both cards are pretty decent, though.
The fact that this set has 4 black two drops worth...
How hittable is delrium? If you cast a faithless looting or a franatic search you are probably 3/4 of the way there. I run a crapton of enchantments, which helps too. I don't think you're hitting it automatically, but with an eye for it its probably not that hard.
This looks like a pretty good...
Kessig Forgemaster is no joke, Ashmouth Hound won me an embarrassing number of games in Innistrad limited and this guy is all upside.
I think this guy is an awesome madness enabler:
Lets you hit the madness cards on curve and unlike hapless researcher, the menance means that sometimes you...
Yeah, I really think both the new hydra and primeval titan are both complete misses (for opposite reasons), but I do like that they're putting effort into tinkering with the formulas and making attempts at different spots on the horizon. The one size fits all school of thought just doesn't fly.
I suppose this answers the question of why that 6/6 has deathtouch.
Black lifegain is always sweet. Combined with the avacyn's rolling thunder and this old chestnut red/black control with madness is looking like a sweet cube theme.
I like frog a lot, but I also commiserate with the feeling that some cards are just pushed in the wrong direction for what you are looking for. It sucks when card is so close but JUST misses the mark.
