    Card/Deck Format defining crap removal

I'm curious about this, it's a premier what? Premier spell or premier bounce spell? I think Theros was a pretty good example of that, no? Griptide was one of the better spells to pick up to interact with your opponent in that format because of how bad the removal was and the fact that you...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I think this becomes an interesting example of high power spells low power creatures, which ahabhdans been trying out for a bit. As Grillo illustrates, the impact level of a card like show and tell can be capped by lowering the efficiency of your creatures.

    Card/Deck Format defining crap removal

murderous compulsion What's people's opinion on setting rules for what removal to include? I feel like you can find crappy removal either by its cost or its restrictions. There was a brief period until quite recently that WotC had almost all removal be like 4-5 cmc. I'm much happier now that...

    Retro Combo Cube

I must say, the idea of running low power creatures but pretty high power spells sounds great. I've been pretty intrigued by lower power (courtesy of Grillo) lately, but it does give up some of the flare that full power or the riptide 75% power has. It would seem as it really is the value...

volcanic hammer This is a card I know some people have talked about very favorably, and I tried it out in my 4-man grid cube and it did really well in giving auras and combat tricks more breathing room. So now I'm hungry for more excellent crappy removal that helps shape the format really...

    Card/Deck Super Ramp cards

Isn't there some more good mana rocks that are like 4-5 mana and upwards in cmc? I feel like that could be a pretty good signal, coupled with the big cmc targets, that there's some work to be done in mana accumulations for the drafters.

I checked it and it seems right. At first I did it wrong and assumed each of the three would split into two when entering the battlefield, but it's only one of them so yeah 13 golems all in all. Really, I hope we get more cards like this. It really feels like a home-run in the kind of...

It begins! First spoiler's out, from the autumn set of 2016; "Kaladesh". Birthplace of Chandra Nalaar, and probably full of artifacts if we are to go by this spoiler and the kaladesh-flavored cards from Magic Origins. Fire magic is apparantly illegal according to the lore some guy posted on...

Isn't it really good though? Like choose a bunch of haymakers with evasion and let this guy go to town turn 4? Talk about emotional spikes.

Keepers seems like a stupid strong card. A cantripping 4/4 that threatens to let the entire board through next turn? Very high ceiling.

What even is this card? What can you do with it? Is it something we can consider cubing? It really feels super strange to me, although it also feels like a "duh why hasn't it been done before".
