Hey, you know how 'spell lands' are really great because they technically don't take up a card slot in your deck? This is kind of like having 23 of those.

I'll be running it with an extra turn effect to test out how giving my blink deck some sharper teeth feels. If nothing else, my cube is very instant/sorcery heavy, and casting cruel ultimatum or reanimation spell off of this will feel nice.

It's not the best card ever printed, but it's one of the more interesting draft alterations I've seen.

It seems super cool, provided that it is the only Monarch card in your cube, to preserve it's uniqueness. I feel like it's underwhelming without that singular minigame attached.

Oh. My. God. This is going in my cube YESTERDAY. There are so many ways to play with this card! It's never a first pick, but can be a great late pick, and you can even try to wheel it to your opponents for their 15th, leaving them stuck with it! Amazing!

Wrath and Day tend to jank up Opposition style decks. That being said, it's very possible it would have been better just as a pure control deck. I think I kinda pulled myself in two directions and didn't quite make it work.

I'm having a little trouble figuring the idea of this cube out. I've been working on an Innistrad cube myself, but this doesn't feel very 'Innistrad-ey.' Is it like... Innistrad in 'mechanical spirit?' Edit: I meant a lot of the discussed card options seem less-than-flavorful.

The big difference is not hitting lands, of course. It makes it a bit less of a win button... which may be exactly what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll try it out, it does look cool and isn't expensive.
