I'm a big fan of Notion thief. Huge. I've run him in both Legacy and Vintage, and he's an all-star in my dimir EDH deck. That being said, imo he does too little to make the cut as anything but SB tech. Additionally, he's too easily dealt with to be a buildaround card. I prefer my buildarounds...

Part of the problem with hyper-efficient synergy-based cube archetypes is that it can sometimes feel like there's no room for giving a deck a personal touch. If it's too rigid, then all your drafters are doing is just unpacking the prebuilt decks you put in the cube.

You know what's funny? Adding Titania has made feel -much- better about annihilator in my cube. I've seen so many Eldrazi be unable to attack on pain of getting crushed by 4 5/3s next turn... It's pretty great.
