    Card/Deck Targeted Discard

duress collective brutality That's it. I find in general this sort of effect isn't needed in my format in great quantity or at a "high power". I like having the couple non-creature discard effects so Bx creature-based decks have some tools for dealing with troublesome instants/sorceries/etc...

"I throw a rock at you/X creature" is also just an incredibly satisfying phrase for me. The artifact synergies are a big, big plus. Not many cards actually generate artifact tokens as efficiently.

General What are your favorite mechanics that merge Cool Things with Winning Things?

That just points right back to the original question, because Tarmogoyf is almost always ludicrously above curve in the formats where it's legal, and arguably a mistake in design. I would play Nullhide Ferox over Grizzly Bears, for instance. And two shocks is indeed more damage than one...

General What are your favorite mechanics that merge Cool Things with Winning Things?

I wonder how much of that is intrinsic to "the best way to win a game of mtg", and how much is just because WotC has a long history of making mistakes with cheap spells.

General What are your favorite mechanics that merge Cool Things with Winning Things?

That last paragraph is putting the squeeze on. I have no familiarity with what any of the "mainstream" MTG resources talk about. But going off of what I perceive as "playing the game gud", Timeless Dragon Angel of the Ruins Etc. Landcycling in general is a huge boon to "consistency"...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Order of Midnight is much higher on my list for "similar" creature recursion, and I'm happy leaving land recursion to green with Grapple from the Past or what have you, even though I understand the appeal of having that sort of unique-to-black effect for black.

The thickness number doesn't tell me anything about feasibility. I would have to physically try it to see.

    General CBS

The exact location is basically up to you. You had wanted to obscure the bottom part where the artist and stuff is, which seems feasible. I just don't know how well the tape would survive the insertion of the inner sleeve into the outer sleeve if the tape is at the bottom of the card. I would...

    General CBS

I would do it on the outside of the front of the inner sleeve, assuming it could be put into the outer sleeve without the tape peeling off

    General CBS

do you only single-sleeve your cards @japahn ? Because in a double sleeved situation, "on the front of the inner sleeve" seems like a pretty easy way to do it, if you want the colored bit to sit in front of the card itself

    General Fight Club

I was assuming you were directly riffing off of what ravnic had posted. If you have other kinds of aggressive Gx decks, then certainly there can be other considerations.

In a madness deck I doubt there is a shortage of ways to bin it. The two counters are still nice though. Trample feels a little bit much on a 4 mana 5/5

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

Considering the creatures are only made when you draw 2 or more in a turn, having lands in hand is probably a bit more likely than it might be otherwise.
