Let people "combo off" a little now and then. Fisher + Monument is a really cool interaction that I think only adds to a format.

    Sets (RNA) Ravnica Allegiance Spoilers

"Torment" (or whatever name they decided to apply that French to) seems like a sweet replacement for Kolaghan's Command, a card I've long had some amount of distaste for, but haven't removed on account of it's usefulness. Nice!

Not sure one's better or worse than the other. They are kinda different. Thrasios will definitely be more powerful in the long game, but requires holding up a lot more mana for the effect. This new card is only a one-shot explore effect, but it can be held up alongside something like a counter...

I like him well enough. Combines good blocker with abilities that incrementally advance a control or spells deck's gameplan.

Incredible EDH commander too. Mana Rocks/Ramp + Free Spells are both huge parts of the format.

second the hope that it's a morbid-like effect. That is a pretty great effect regardless. Until the end of your next turn gives you a lot more flexibility to use both of the exiled cards (two lands, two more expensive spells, etc.)

probably Weirding Wood by a smidge. Card draw is important for Green decks and it has some super marginal fringe benefits, like making an artifact and increasing your permanent count

A List of Riptiders Who Actually Play Magic

I feel that laboriousness is a general problem with MTG sometimes. Funny since it started as a quick and easy game in between DnD sessions. Now I find myself planning out entire afternoons around "Playing Magic". It's a very intense game these days. Which is probably why it's almost fallen...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

ooof didn't notice how they left that random chunk of the border on those Ultimate Masterpeice thingys. That's not a great look.... Besides the fact that some of them are just... the same art as normal but zoomed in a little right? Seems inconsistent when other ones have really neat new art.

it would help organization for cube management, especially post-draft. You definitely could do it another way that doesn't require a marking, like an alpha pack checklist, but stickers/etc. is an easy way to do it.

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

The density of exile isn't as critical here as the cost of the exile. It doesn't even have to be an exile effect, TBH. Hard-casting a brick into efficient bounce, destroy, etc. is also not great. I feel that this is the reason that Muldrotha is difficult to run in many cubes, honestly. The...

Have y'all thought about making a set design skeleton? https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/nuts-bolts-design-skeleton-2010-02-15 If you really start to get into developing a full set, it's a great way to stay organized and have a solid starting point to brainstorm from.
