    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Dom pulled together this sick GY aggro deck a couple days back from my environment that gets relatively close in concept to what the Hollow One deck is doing (including having Hollow One!): http://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/sigh-a-cube.1148/page-5#post-73815 Edit: and I probably should run...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

cool card. I enjoy the "bidding" sort of mechanics. How would you cost it you think? It's a slippery slope between Ancestral Recall and being... bad. I guess a reference is vision skeins

hedging their bets on the revived core sets making it to 2025? :p Edit: ALSO, all of the shocks have watermarks. That VCC seems decent already, tbh, at least for the double fetch/shock crowd

    Sigh, a Cube

That 10th edition Goblin Lore price tho Super sweet deck indeed! I haven't really been spending a lot of time thinking about how aggressive decks would come together in RG since I've been so focused on Lands etc, but I feel like this is it. Nice!

Oh I wouldn't actually put storm on it for sure. Even just the fact that it's a flying token maker with storm for 2 makes it too much. Flashback would also be a useful upgrade, though maybe not overly "creative".

Not forgotten feels so close to me, but I guess I wish it was pushed in one more little way? Instant speed wouldn't have been too much to ask, would it?

    Future Cycle

I wonder if Aggro is the primary format "villain", to focus more on adding wraths that hit those decks harder than others. Some possibilities: drown in sorrow Austere Command pyroclasm Adding cards like Wrath of God can have equally extreme effects on slower environments as having the retro...

    Tea for Two

Mindslaver and Mimic Vat seem fairly tame and manageable at your overall power level. Wouldn't be in a super big rush to remove them; unless you've experienced some issues with them in your group? To your point #3 above, I enjoy lots of artifacts so I don't necessarily see any problem with how...

    Card/Deck Graveyard hate

I kinda like the ability to leave single-use stuff. Leaving, for instance, an Overseer of the Damned and Chainer's Edict isn't that problematic, and lets the GY deck still do something without just being neutered. I'm not reanimating any one thing that's overly oppressive in my environ. The GY...

    Tea for Two

Upheaval is waaaay more powerful than Wildfire. Usually it just ends the game right that turn, even if the game does actually end for several turns. Opposition is too easy to build around: play creatures. Cutting pester mite still let's you play with Kiki combo, but in WR, which makes it a...

Yes. And the list goes on. Reduces deck size, storm count, trinket mage. All around useful little trinket

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I am fairly convinced I want to try this card out: oketra's monument About as close as you can get to combo-level with kor skyfisher, can really power up the board in white decks, and perfectly fine with other color creatures too. I'm definitely not certain it classifies as "low powered" but meh

The Penny Pincher Cube 2.0--Inventors' Fair

Unfortunately there isn't much that fills a similar role, or even has a remotely similar effect, in colorless. I guess The Immortal Sun is a "big end-game artifact", but it's a really weird pile of effects. Tamiyo's Journal is also a really cool card, but doesn't ring with me as the same sort of...

    Card/Deck Graveyard hate

Ooouu I forgot that existed. That is quite surgical and incidental, as well as being perfectly fine as Manalith besides. Neat. One that I also hadn't considered very closely, but is quite interesting upon second look watchers of the dead It is the opposite of surgical, and it has that pesky...

    Card/Deck Graveyard hate

The only problem I have with literally all of those is the repeatable effect doesn't target. Leaving it up to the opponent makes it quite a bit less effective to not use the "cycling" mode. My wishlist card is a manarock with a second ability that's like "1, tap: exile target card + gain 1...
