Speaking of 3 mana shocks, has anyone gotten any cube test data on this yet?: geistblast All this discussion about cool things to do with it has gotten me all interested. Might just go ahead and try it out myself, now that I think of it....

2UR, discard another card: deal 8 damage in 4 chunks of two. Seems pretty bonkers to me.

If I'm not mistaken Voice + geistblast = 3UR: draw four cards. I think geistblast will be in grave in time for priority, right?

That's a lot of good stuff to keep in mind! :) Right now I'm just pondering, planning, probing. I expect delirium to return in Eldritch Moon, so if the mechanic fleshs out more we have a head start on the environment design, pieces available etc. I do see that delirium is mostly Abzan, so some...

The journey of discovery continues for my new favorite mechanic. I've always had a sideways glance aimed at this Lil guy, but now that he has (even more) incidental value??? ember hauler

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I really think its very hard to tell how delirium plays without actually playtesting. Deck construction, play style, and decisions made are all influenced by the usage of delirium in a deck (or can be, at least). My play in prerelease sealed didn't find delirium all that hard to turn on by mid...

I think the desire to look at getting things into hand is because the easiest way to get things into the yard is through the hand (inst, sorc, fetches, for instance). Also some of the best delirium enablers are draw-discard spells like faithless looting, where you can pitch that fourth type.

I'm loving that legacy deck! :). Its the sort of deck I'd build if I wasn't gaga over D&T. Maybe with EMA I can start grabbing up some cool stuff and make it less of a pipe dream... Sounds like a well liked switch, so I'll probably try er out. My blue section has some cool stuff like impulse...

I don't think there has to be. I'm still exploring near-zero-consequence switches that more easily enable it. There are a few good delirium cards, and next set could flush it out. Right now I'm lookin at: Scourge wolf Topplegeist To the slaughter Maybe inexorable blob And might as well make it...

What do we all think of this little gem? Continuing on my rampage of exploring delirium, it seems like the perfect time to think again about including this: shardless agent For me, it'd probably replace bounding krasis, which is a sweet card, but probably a little bit underperforming.

Card/Deck How to execute a minimalist Enchantment theme

Delirium is turning out to be a wild ride of environment design. Are there any Enchantment Creatures that totally could be included, but are a little fringe and so might be overlooked normally? It'd a be a solid way to overcome the delirium barrier, having two types on one card is just so nice...

    Sets Spoilers Over Innistrad (Digest)

I found it pretty straight forward to get delirium in prerelease sealed. Maybe my testing in cube will be different. It's a mechanic that needs more cards, imo, so for now it's not a theme to me, just a couple cards that have a sweet edge when active. And just a couple switches can set up decks...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I definitely second Meltyman regarding The Gitrog Monster. Its an awesome engine card, but has real risks and isn't over the top with its engine, so its nice and balanced. Playing it on five lands runs the real risk of bricking on lands and falling far behind on land count. I also like that they...
