mind rot is the wrong spell: witness the end and being on a payment plan actually matters a lot. Same goes for the artifact/enchantment versions of Inspiration. Splitting payments ups the power. I do feel like some of these could've been pushed a little more, but I'm pretty happy overall. Vessel...

I love this cycle. Already working Seal of Doom into my cube, and there's arguments for seal of fire. Of course, there's the other cool trinket cycle: sunbeam spellbombaether spellbombnecrogen spellbombpyrite spellbomblifespark spellbomb and the other five also. Aether and Pyrite stand out as...

My cube tutor is out of date, it's back to Drown in Sorrow for that spot. I'm trimming that effect down a little, so I'm figuring out which is liked more. Getting a lot of BSZ votes Toxic deluge is too strong, imo. And if I fiddle around with another 4 mana spell, why not just Damnation, amirite

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

To avoid stealing of planeswalkers, you could old-school it even, with a list "artifact, creature, or enchantment". Stealing a land T5 on the play to both take away a splash and put the opponent back to 3 lands seems fairly strong.

I could still see most of this being accomplished with a simple {3}{U}{U} Enchant nonland permanent You control enchanted permanent. It gives you nice incidental edge over persuasion/mind control, but doesn't feel overly much more powerful.

Not much, as far as I'm concerned. Red decks are built around the premise of giving oneself reach and secondary options. Options like nightbird's clutches, frenzied goblin, goblin heelcutter, fiery confluence, lightning bolt, fireball etc. And if they can't get that reach in or didn't draft to...

I don't see how it is more swingy than red sweeper effects, tbh. Anger of the gods and radiant flames can both deal more damage. Is it the color?

I already run languish. This is a battle of the "infest effect", kinda. Guess drown in sorrow keeps its spot. I'm ok giving slower decks a way to police over extension from aggro.

Gets stronger, but I'd probably still keep it how I ordered it. Why don't you just toss a bonus onto persuasion i it's too weak? Like Scry 2 or something. Enchanting permanents changes a lot of variables. I could also see an argument for "Enchant nonland permanent", which I don't think has...

Well, confiscate/volition reins are only one more mana than this, without any negative riders. I could see {2}{U}{U}{U} confiscate not being overwhelming, really. What exactly is ending the turn getting you? I guess it takes away the "steal blocker -> attack with your dudes" line... I'd...

Wow. This is a preeeetty sweet deal, if I do say so: 3{U} Creature - Zombie Horror Skulk (This creature can't be blocked by creatures with greater power.) At the beginning of your upkeep, you may discard your hand. If you do, draw that many cards. 3/3

Talk about self-contained engine! Obviously works extremely well with fetchlands, and his additional land ability can help keep you from running out of mana. Very cool. Not sure if I'll have a spot for him, but could see Meren biting the dust for being a little bit overwhelming. EDIT: Also...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Llanowar Mentor This's a little slow, but with some new madness support, it seems like it could be a useful green low drop for lower power? No? At the very least it seems good for grinding out top deck wars by turning late lands into Llanowar elves. Is it still too durdly?

Prized Amalgam is definitely neat. The parallel made to Vengevine is fairly fitting. It's the sort of thing you can make minor tweaks in your cube here and there to better support it just that teensy bit more. Things like: Experiment One -> Young Wolf Some RB dood -> Shambling Remains Rotting...

Thing is they aren't even being consistent with another card in the set?? Always Watching (the nontoken anthem) uses the old templating, and I'd have guessed this one can too. "Wolf and werewolf creatures you control get +1/+1 and have trample"

Card/Deck Shit Thread: Planeswalker Tier List

poisonous usually refers to being useful in one niche, and one niche only (infect cards fit this description and brought about the name, if I recall). Elspeth, Knight Errant is simply overbearing, not poisonous, using this meaning. That out of the way, both Elspeth's belong where you have...
