Not to detract anything from your argument, but if you cast her for X = 0 she'll go to the graveyard immediately on account of having zero loyalty. Unless you mean turn two off a mana elf, which I doubt was a consideration during the design of this card since there's no turn one mana accelerant...

Having tried both (in an earlier version of my cube) I can confirm that this is indeed a more manageable version of Assemble.

My cube averages 3.134, a bit higher than 3, mainly because of the emphasis on multicolored cards. The average of my monocolor and artifact sections is 2.99 :) The average CMC of multicolored cards is 5.2 (!) thanks to stuff like Cruel Ultimatum and Karador, Ghost Chieftain. My white section...

Any UR deck can use Fevered Visions, but it’s best in a deck that can cast the extra cards it draws (i.e. runs cheap spells or artifact mana) and that can pressure the opponent so the life loss matters. Honestly it’s a card you should try out a few times to get a feel for. It plays nothing like...
