    General Battle Box

Wow. I amped up the multicolor section to the max and run only two colorless cards to take full advantage of the unique mana system and diversify the format from my cube. I see you have a pretty even spread across colors. I also purposefully put two a lot of one-drops and color-intensive early...

Feel free to comment on my list or ask for feedback on yours. I'm also interested in hearing about your experiences, since they differ from the main sources on this format.

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Hahaha, I never really considered that card. Is it any good? Looks way too slow to me. Edit: What if we up the cost to 7 and the activation cost to "{T}, remove a charge counter from ~"?

I'm looking for a replacement for Karn. More speficially: I'm looking for an expensive colorless card that can deal with any permanent, is playable (unlike Spine of Ish Sah), but not as oppressive as Karn in a lower powered cube.

I like the +1/+0 Skullclamp, the Scrollkeeper and the Haunt.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Because Tanglewire is WYSIWYG, but Parallax Wave's Disenchant trick will be missed by a lot of less experienced players. Even though both cards are traditionally underestimated by those players, they won't feel as bad when Tanglewire happens to them because they at least "get it". In still other...

    I like the Warding Spellbomb.

    General Beginner Mistakes

I think you're taking away the wrong point from this article. It's not that they can't balance a format around high-powered removal cards like Swords to Plowshares and Thoughtseize, it's that the power level and type of creatures (and other removal cards) needed to balance the format around that...

There. Fixed! ;) Though Sol Ring should be included in any power max cube I guess...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

I was looking to include The Abyss, but that card is way too expensive for me. It's also a hard to deal with enchantment, which bothers me a bit, because the effect is so strong. Other Abyss-like effects don't really cut it for me. Magus of the Abyss has to destroy itself, Anowon, the Ruin Sage...

Not entirely true, but thinking out of the power max box is not the strong point of their most vocal members. MTGS is a pretty good resource for baseline data like power rankings though, and the SCD's and MCD's contain interesting food for thought.

    General Making Aggro more inclusive

If I were to put Tinker back in, Myr Battlesphere is definitely going out. When I replaced Tinker with Ensoul Artifact in a recent update I got to add Myr Battlesphere back in. Playing with the Battlesphere felt really good this weekend, and a lot more honest than playing Karn Liberated.

    General Beginner Mistakes

I think this recent article on the mothership contains a lot of useful information, to wit: - Extremely powerful removal (StP etc.) makes for an evironment where the only really good creatures to run are those with innate protection from said removal or those with very strong enters the...

Sets [KTK] Khans of Tarkir Spoilers

All of the good fixing is in the cube, but I do run Temples and some lesser fixing options in my utility land draft.

Oh for sure, but when you end up with one of those three cards, it's pretty convenient that there's a land in the utility land draft that supports your two main colors while also letting you splash that third color for your bomb.

Oh, I'll add - unbridled cube size - cube size and impact on supported archetypes

    General Beginner Mistakes

    - the poison principle - including too many expensive cards/not keeping an eye on your mana curve - not enough mana fixing - not being aware of how many cards it takes to support aggro vs midrange/control - not using proxies to try out expensive cards (then find out the card is not a good fit)

Hmm... I run exactly three 3-color gold cards: Karador, Ghost Chieftain, Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and Maelstrom Wanderer. I could of course include just the trilands for each of those.

    General Showboating

They are a little bit thicker, but not too much. I didn't notice there was a proxy in my deck when riffle shuffling it this weekend. I haven't tested the pile shuffle yet, but I did do a bend test, and while they are not as flexible as a real Magic card, they bend pretty well. I'm happy not only...
