Card/Deck How to Port Constructed Decks into a Cube Environment

How to Port Constructed Decks into a Cube Environment Introduction Since the early days of Cube, fledgling designers have attempted to create environments with archetypes that resemble constructed decks. Vintage Cubers were the first to succeed in this task. The Vintage format's...

    Sets (KHM) Kaldheim Testing/Includes Thread

This is a testing/includes thread. Post pictures or a text list using /c with what cards you plan to include and what cards you plan to test. Including: Including if I Open: Testing: Kaldheim has a lot of unique tools for Cubers, but the set's heavy tribal component makes most of the...

No, I'm still going to make a dedicated testing thread when I have a chance. It's not fair to make future people read 19 pages of random chatter before they can see what cards people wanted to include. EDIT: Here is the Testing Thread

You can also put the Runes on lands. They can enchant a Celestial Colonnade without falling off.

Dragonkin Berserker actually does have reminder text on the normal pack version. Also, treasure and the like is deciduous these days. WOTC has always eschewed reminder text for non-evergreen keywords when there isn't otherwise room on the cards for text. Some examples include Saproling Burst...

If that's your question, the only things that cross the line are cards that cost 3 or less mana or are named Questing Beast :p.

This looks like a fun card. I don't think it's good enough for my cube, but Commander cubes would love this. This would also be good in your 2, 3, 7 cube!

I should state before I get into any of this that my list up on Cube Cobra right now does not reflect what I'm planning on with my latest writings. I think the variation up on CC right now matches the majority of what I'm about to say, but if there are any incongruences, it's because that list...

I think Dennis is a little better. I think a 4/5 Trample ETB Lightning Helix the opponent's face for 1CCC is going to be better on average than a 4/4 Flying Vigilance comes with suspend 1 Reave Soul suspend 2 Double Cleave if it lives for 1CCC. My reasoning is simple. Siege Rhino always does...

We're seeing more of the Uncommon Land Cycle today: Karfell Port Land Karfell Port enters the battlefield tapped. {T}: Add {U} to your mana pool. {3}{U}{B}{B}, {T}: Sacrifice Karfell Port: Mill four cards, then return a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped. Surtland...

This is quite possibly the best card in the set. It's a really powerful aggro dude in the sense that it can create a board state all by itself. While I think it's a little fragile as a 2/1, that's not really important on a Savannah Lion that makes an army by itself. It usually adds at least...

    General Fight Club

Pact of Negation plays poorly in my experiences with the card. Even if you pay the mana, you still often lose the game on the subsequent turn(s). It is literally only good if it is protecting a winning card or combo that will finish the game before the {3}{U}{U} comes due.

This is one of the better cards we've seen spoiled so far. It's like Young Pyromancer, but it makes flying tokens whenever you cast any second spell as opposed to only triggering off of instants and sorceries. I think this is going to be good in aggressive White strategies in cube. It's probably...

This seems pretty good. It's not great by any means, but a steady stream of card draw in black midrange decks that can also be a finisher that draws a card if you can't keep it online seems like a nice meme to me. This feels a lot better than Thor on its base rate in my view.

Soul-Scar Mage's prowess is way more relevant than any of the text on Thor's front end. It was the best aggro prowess creature other than Monastery Swiftspear when it was printed, and it goes a long way to making Spells Matter decks truly viable. Only one Prowess dude has surpassed Soul-Scar...
