To be fair, Kenrith can be a 5 color guy, but he would also be solid in any guild combination playing white, as a mana sink. Golos, Tireless Pilgrim indicates 5 color reward more than the above cards I feel. Plus, being an artifact and a creature makes him pretty susceptible to removal.

    Card/Deck Blink

Two cards you didn't mention that can save your creatures from removal and are "repeatable"are EphemerateParallax Wave Ephemerate has prowess synergy, is easy to hold up, but it is pretty strong. I do however think that 1 mana is where you want to be to save your creatures as holding up more...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

I'll bite since no suggestions were offered yet. Censor vs Force Spike? You have Drake Haven in your list, so I think the upside of cycling outweighs the extra mana on Censor. No Path to Exile? You seem to be running most of the other powerful removal spells, is there a reason you decided...

Sets [THB] Theros Beyond Death *SPOILER*

I love the idea of having extra utility on the ramp cards, but a 3CC card to ramp for 1 isn't exciting (at least in my format). Especially since you don't get a board presence and that is killer at 3 mana. @ravnic Slaughter-Priest of Mogis vs Blazing Hellhound I would try out the...

Sets [THB] Theros Beyond Death *SPOILER*

I'm liking this green ramp card It ticks all the right boxes for me: 2 mana Possible synergies (enchantment/untap) Late game mana sink I've found that cards like Wild Growth to be too strong (I am not a cool kid) as they cannot be interacted with easily and provide such a huge tempo...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

What I like most about Angel of Serenity is the amount of play it has. Do you believe they have an answer for it? If so then is it a wrath (where you might want to save some creatures on the battlefield) or is it spot removal (in which case you want to keep your board presence and maybe get...

    General Green four drop creatures

Trumpeting Herd Is also a decent 4 drop that can give you some removal protection (spreading into 2 bodies) as well as some random token or spell synergies. It is probably a little underpowered compared to the other options listed though.

    Dom's Stream of Consciousness

I can't wait to see the list. A lot of the decks you post are powerful but interesting and your list seems to lean heavily on artifacts which is a goal of mine as well. You also seem to have very few planeswalkers which is refreshing to see. Thanks for taking the time to write this all out!

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I was wondering about some single card archetypes and was curious about As ForetoldFires of Invention. I experimented with Birthing Pod as a double pick (pick up the Pod and you get a second one after the draft) and it has played out well. So I'm thinking of doing the same here as it would...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

World Queller Could this be playable at lower power level for your stax deck? It’s super slow though, but seems like fun once in play. Unless you go with cards like Aven Mindcensor for a fetchland manabase, but they seem neither reliable nor fun.

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

When thinking about your UB GY decks, I feel you need to be more specific (this is something I struggled with for a while, but now I understand it better). Here are the GY archetypes I see in UB Reanimator: This is a classic and can be more of a combo (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Exhume,...)...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'm trying to bolster my spell matter themes in red and would like opinion on: Finale of Promise I say theme, but there are really two distinct ones: GY spells and spell velocity. One is based on casting spells from the GY for value (Mizzix's Mastery, Snapcaster Mage, Chandra, Acolyte of...

    Dom's Stream of Consciousness

Oh man, I completely missed Thorn Mammoth. It seems like a really strong card that plays well with a number of themes and gives green some solid fight options alongside Voracious Hydra, Wicked Wolf (which I think is totally playable even without the food tokens), Vivien, Arkbow Ranger and...

    General Fight Club

I have a fight resolving around efficiency vs value (and maybe synergy). Preordain vs Scour All Possibilities Keep in mind I already have one Preordain and this is for a second slot. My blue section has a GY self-mill theme going which makes me lean towards the spell with flashback as I...

    General Community cuts thread

Greater Good is a very strong card, but not all decks want it. I'm trying to use it as a bridge between sacrifice matters, +1/+1 counters (grow tall) and the graveyard (so mostly Jund and Sultai decks). For example, sacrificing something as silly as a Jadelight Ranger that got a couple of...

    General Community cuts thread

I believe so, yes. It's not a high pick to be sure, but it does some good work especially with Emry, Lurker of the Loch and pretty much all the artifact type cards (Welders, Monastery Mentor, Sai, Master Thopterist, Trinket Mage, Marionette Master). Then there is random recursion where you can...

    Card/Deck UB Zombie Tokens

After more thought on the subject here is how I am trying to incorporate the zombie subtheme to my Dimir section: Self-mill Now that is a pretty wide theme, but I've found 2 directions to take that doesn't seem poisonous and forces me to run very few cards I wouldn't otherwise. Creature...

    The Black Cube

Mindblade Render As a warrior matters card that doesn't really care about warriors. It's a two drop Ophidian, that gets better if you have other warriors. Seems pretty good to me! Also, looking at your list, I disagree that Cryptbreaker and Blacklance Paragon are very tribal. One is a...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

Some thoughts: Looking at your Gruul midrange deck, I feel it's missing out on some beefy/high impact 3 drops. Finks and Tracker are great, but that isn't much and looking at your list, the pickings are slim in GR. I'd love to see something hard hitting like Goblin Rabblemaster/Krenko, Tin...

No no I also give them 2. I misunderstood what squadroning meant (but looking back I get why it would imply 4 instead of 2).
