    General Cube content worth consuming

I'll apologize for this one. A couple times when I've submitted a piece and he has emailed me back to say "I was about to write on the same topic". Yeah, Andy's stuff has always been really great, but I think he probably has his hands full most of the time.

Hooly crap, you can card tag an entire list of cards? Great work Eric!

All I can say to these two cards is that I'm sorry it took so long.

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Hi Vince, thanks for the suggestion! I have not tested that card, but I'll put it on my list. Great flavor text!

    Card/Deck Thought experiment: Tinker

FSR, what would you think about cards like this in a Tinker environment?

    Card/Deck Thought experiment: Tinker

Here's a quick little thought experiment: in what environment would the card Tinker be the most fun? If you could build an environment specifically to make tinker a really fun spell to cast, what would it look like?

General Sweet cards you would love to draft with

Hey all, this is an open call for sweet cards that you really love playing with but that have no business being in your current cube. Can be from any time period, power level, whatever. Think of this as some new age bucket of inspiration. No wrong answers.

It's certainly worth testing. In any case I appreciate any and all suggestions. Once we start playtesting, the power level of different archetypes will need to be adjusted up and down, and suggestions like these are great for when I need to go back to the drawing board.

General (theory) playgroups and the cube teleology and experience

I think that's a good point. Your preference for manabases can be just that: a preference. I don't take any issue with that sentiment (wanting less fixing), but what can be a little perplexing is when the same people complain about the lack of balance in their aggro archetypes. I think the...

    Nathan's Cube

I gotta say I'm pretty jealous that you guys get so much play in. I looked at the records, and it seems you get 2 drafts in most weeks. Some decks even get played for 6 matches. That's pretty awesome.

    General Recording Paper Drafts

From the old forum: Well, the code took all of 2 minutes to write, so now everything is ready. Only thing left to do is to find a way to get 7 other players around the table, which may be difficult considering it's prerelease season.

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

Cuesbey is down so I'll just make a couple manual suggestions: Call of the Herd is both good and works with the Loam package. No Skinrender? Nekrataal? Fulminator Mage is great anti-control. Geralf's Messenger has been very good with a high degree of fixing Kor Sanctifiers has been great I...

General (theory) playgroups and the cube teleology and experience

On that note I do feel that anybody who has the opinion that a high density of fixing just leads to "four-color good stuff" winning every draft is probably playing with some number of awful players on a regular basis. When I play with a bunch of novices I can toss together a random 4-color pile...

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

Let's see... that Jund midrange deck is lacking a lot of what I am looking for in a midrange deck. Namely, meat! The best tool of midrange against aggro are meaty 4-drops like Obstinate Baloth and your hated Thrun. I know you don't like Hexproof, but I find Thrun to have an interesting effect on...

General (theory) playgroups and the cube teleology and experience

Chris, I am jealous. We have no PTQ winners in our group, and even our PTQ grinders don't seem to have the most solid grasp of cube drafting. I get good feedback from my players, but most of it is not volunteered. I have to dig for it, e.g. "What did you think about your deck? "What sorts of...

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

Jund deck (because I'm feeling generous): This deck is kind of all over the place. Mana dorks + Pernicious Deed is generally not my preferred play space. The curve is a little atrocious, and it feels like a pile of random cards. Was this drafted at an 8-man table?
