Is it really broken? I doubt it's better than Brainstorm considering dredge 1 is far less dangerous than dredge 4+ and is also not crazy at filling your 'yard.

Or, wait. Could it dredge from it's own draw?

The card is put into the graveyard as the final part of resolving the spell, so no, it can't dredge itself.

I always liked Lazotep Reaver, but it felt just a few cents short of a dollar. Apprentice feels like the right place for this type of card!

Damn they are really bringing back all of the parasitic mid 2010s archetypes with this one!

Energy and BFZdrazi are sad to see, but maybe we’ll get some cool Bestow cards or something?
