can i make this into a cycle
Sunburst Hydra {X}{G}
Creature — Hydra
Sunburst (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.)
~ enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
0/0

is this too good? potentially 3/3 for 2 or 5/5 for 3 or 7/7 for 4 or 9/9 for WUBRG? it makes woolly thoctar look like a joke but for cube it already is and it dies to vampire hexmage and ultimate price

This is a sweet card, cool design.

Sun's Touched Hydra {X}{G}
Creature - Hydra (R)
Trample
Sun's Touched Hydra enters the battlefield with 2 +1/+1 counters for each colour spent to cast it.
0/0

I like Anotak's design way better. Also isn't a 4/4 Trample for two mana or 6/6 Trample for three mana way broken? I think you're off your game here Lucas.

I don't really know how many of these fill a need in cubes but I like making cards and I made a bunch.

Raving Scholar {1}{R}
Creature - Human Wizard (U)
Attacks each turn if able.
Inspired - Whenever Raving Scholar untaps you may discard a card from your hand and draw a card.
2/2

Dour Groan {1}{B}
Sorcery (U)
Put a 2/2 black zombie creature token into play tapped.
Whenever a creature an opponent controls dies, you may pay {1}{B} to return Dour Groan from your graveyard to your hand.
(this was a card I made for kinda limited power level, it could use some work and could be reworked for cube)

Unhinged Academic {1}{B}
Creature - Human Wizard (C)
When Unhinged Academic enters the battlefield look at the top 3 cards of your library and put 2 of them into your graveyard.
2/1
(Could be {U/B})

Shadowy Informant {1}{U/B}
Creature - Shade
Intimidate
At the beginning of your upkeep look at the top card of your library, you may put that card into your graveyard.
2/1

Slanderous Gossip {U}{B}
Instant (U)
Draw 2 cards then discard a card from your hand.
Target player loses 2 life.

Just Reckoning {4}{W}{W}
Sorcery (R)
Destroy all creatures and gain 4 life.

Contemptuous Edict {1}{B}
Sorcery (U)
Target player sacrifices a creature, if a token is sacrificed this way, draw a card.

Love the groan and the acedemic :D UB has scry, but this is a sweet way to let them do the same thing in a cooler way

Good call on reckonging being 6, that card would be pretty punishing at 5.

I think shadowy informant is what UB needs. I don't think wotc is going to do it though :p

There should be some blue and/or black creature with flash that's like Mesmeric Fiend but for spells.
There is some interesting conflict between countering and discarding and bouncing between blue and black. It's certianly something to think about.
You think there should be a jerk that straight bodysnatcher's a spell they payed for? Do you like that more in UB or UW? I guess the reflavoring is more UW but UB deserves some love too.

finishing the cycle. i'm worried the white one is either too good or too shit i can't tell which. perhaps need some better names too.

Suntouched Savior {X}{W}
Creature — Faerie Soldier
Sunburst (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.)
Flying
When Suntouched Savior enters the battlefield, return target creature with converted mana cost X or less from your graveyard to play.
0/0

Suntouched Abomination {X}{B}
Creature — Human Cleric
Sunburst (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.)
When Suntouched Abomination enters the battlefield, target player loses X life and you gain X life.
0/0

Hmm in theory I think the white one is really good.

IIn magic xmas land, say u play a white one drop, and ur opponent shocks it to death. U can play this on round 2 - say if u play the saviour for {W}{W} you get a 1/1 flyer and your 1 drop back. Win! If you played it for {W}{G} you get a 2/2 flier and your 1 drop back... and they are down a shock on both accounts. .. winning!

I know I'm pretty crap at evaluating card power but I like it.

I wonder if there's cool design space for Annihilator from the Geist of Saint Traft school of design. Powerful trigger on a weak-ass dude.

umm some ogres!

Sszap, Ogre Mage {3}{R}{R}
Legendary Creature - Ogre Wizard (R)
Haste
{R}, {T}: Sszap deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
3/4

Could stand to lose the mana activation

Lunk and Bort, Splintered Twins {2}{R}{R}
Legendary Creature - Ogre Shaman [R]
Haste
{R}, {T}: Put a creature token into play that’s a copy of target nonlegendary creature you control. That creature token has haste. Sacrifice it at end of turn.
3/3

Bellowing Cyclops {3}{R}
Creature - Cyclops Warrior [R]
Haste
Bellowing Cyclops attacks each turn if able.
3/5

I love the attacks each turn + haste work around of playing after combat. I love 4cc spells that survive mildfire.

Intractable Gunk {2}{G}{G}
Creature - Ooze (R)
Deathtouch
Annihilator 1
3/3

This is me trying to be reasonable.
Annihilator still has a lot of rich get richer syndrome, but this isn't too scary. I like how inevitable it is without resorting to equipment and how it generates unconventional cards for green decks.

Yeah, I think annihilator is super cool. Such a unique way to kill somebody. In fact, I think i'm going to put a Ulamog's Crusher in my cube. See if some control deck can use it as a win condition.

I love me some annihilator, and lucas I think that ooze is the best damn card I've seen this year :D

I kinda wish crusher didn't have to attack though. I imagine it comes up in like 0.00000001% of games, but it still feels weird to me.

this one was mostly my friend's idea. perhaps Icon sounds better than Obelisk. any thoughts on that?
Obelisk of Subjugation {1}{W}{B}
Artifact
{X}, Sacrifice Obelisk of Subjugation: Exile each creature, enchantment, and planeswalker with converted mana cost X or less.

is this fair
Palladium Golem {7}
Artifact Creature — Golem
When Palladium Golem enters the battlefield or dies, destroy target nonland permanent an opponent controls.
When Palladium Golem is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library.

Different color deed that exiles? Sure, but I've never been a huge fan of deed. Is putting it in sun titan colors a good idea?

Colorless Ashen Rider with a worse body, seems fine. I'm not sure why the eldrazi shuffle text is there though, if Angel of Despair is game for reanimation, why exclude this guy? He can't even stone rain people out early
