General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

I thought the flash one would be nuts Jason...
It sounds like it would be a real mean trick some turns to just show up mid combat and ruin a 2/1's day for 1 mana.

I'm not sure I'd say far, but I also sometimes post cards that I have already edited because I get a lot of flack when I over reach the norm.
This card is mono colour, and it isn't really very far off from being a cantriping 1/1 for 1. That's kinda new ground, and a little scary to me in blue and with a relevant creature type.

Buuuuut I thought it was an elegant design and anotak inspired it, and the card seems super fair in a lot of formats so I was excited to post it.
Notice it's even a rogue!

I dunno, flash might be okay. It would still be a fair bit off from, say, Baleful Strix.

Yeah, but strix is not exactly the paragon of a nice balanced card :p

The more I think about it this could be pretty easy. Flash is probably not nuts, but probably more than this card needs.

LULZ PRECIDENT THO

It looks fine to me, and that's me saying that.

Might be able to delve it out a bit quick if you're really fetchland heavy; probably fairer if there's some competing demand for the resource of 'cards in graveyard' in other delve, or llurgoyfs, or stuff like that so there's actual opportunity cost. Blue tends to get 1U 1/1 flier with card attached (scry, index, etc). Depending on environment I might push it to 3U with the intention you'll always delve for at least one, which might let flash back on, but seems fine.

Choose your own alternative punchlines, or write your own!

R&D is risk averse, unless the card is blue, because blue is the colour of breaking the rules.
R&D is risk averse when it comes to giving red anything to do.
There's a 'restrictions breed creativity' one, but I can't quite get there, but imagine it was great.

neat cards, except Ugly Goblin, I don't like that one. Doesn't feel red and seems too efficient anyway

why does the fiend have lifelink? seems extra/inelegant. try "can't block", there's a reason many recursive black creatures have that

Awakened Chimera {1}{W}{U}
Artifact Creature — Chimera
Flying
Whenever you draw a card, put a 1/1 white Construct artifact creature token onto the battlefield.
1/2

Spot on review.

Ewww... Brainstorm buddy :) A 1/2 flying for 1WU seems undesirable, but that ability is sweeeeeeeet.

I love stokemaw but I'm not sure we need it.

Chewy does make more sense in black, but
A) a recursive zombie this hard to get rid of might make gravecrawler really annoying. Maybe the 3 mana is hard enough though
B) Squee is essentially colorless anyways, so I'm not sure this changes much

Deepfire Rage {2}{R}
Instant
As an additional cost to cast Deepfire Rage, put X cards from your graveyard on the bottom of your library.
Deepfire Rage deals 2 damage to up to X target creatures and planeswalkers.

i apparently accidentally tricked at least one person on skype with this
[19:09:12] Dom Harvey: M15?
[19:09:56] Chris Taylor: No way
[19:10 :05] Chris Taylor: X target planeswalkers?
[19:37:10] anotak: what
[19:37:15] anotak: i post my custom cards in here all the time
[19:37:20] anotak: i would say its m15 if its m15 lol
[19:37:20] anotak: come on
[20:03:46] Eric Chan: that's a compliment, your cards can pass for the real thing

Agreed 100%. Stokemaw is mostly unnecessary, though I may run it for two reasons:
1. Its sweet.
2. Its decent sorcery speed removal.

I think 3 mana is hard enough. I'd only run it as a second copy of squee for variety, not it place, but I'm not going for a 2nd copy yet.

Probably in constructed. There's a whole deck built around playing dross like violent outburst, so I imagine this is just insane. Love the idea!

FWIW, Shardless Agent has been so mediocre in my enviornment to the point where I added a mono green version. It's been solid but in no way overpowered.

Yeah, I've been pounding the drum for a while that the cascade mechanic is pretty overrated in cube. It's still fun to roll the dice, but when you can't stack your dice like you can in constructed, it's less likely that you'll flip into a card that's relevant to your game state. I already cut Shardless Agent a few months back for being lacklustre, and Bloodbraid Elf rotates in and out of the starting lineup.

A {1}{W}{U} instant cantripping cascade would be really strong in cube, since a new card is often more relevant than a Gray Ogre at three mana. But maybe that's what you want to make it exciting...?
