General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

So did it turn out everyone is pretty happy with the demolition golem design?

Also I just realized pack seems to be more or less a green card crammed into black. Would everyone cube a green pack rat?

Some designs I came up with over the last couple days

Bog Lore {1}{B}
Sorcery
Return a creature card from your graveyard to your hand.
Search your library for a swamp card and put it into your hand.

Gift of Urborg {2} {B}
Sorcery
Return a black card card from your graveyard to your hand.
Search your library for a swamp card and put it into your hand.

Read the Flames {R}
Sorcery
Scry 1
Exile the top card of your library, until end of turn you may play that card as if it were in your hand.

Mind on Fire {R}
Sorcery
Mind on Fire deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
Ecile the top card of your library, until end of turn you may play that card as if it were in your hand.

Wizard Thief {1}{U}
Creature - Human Wizard
Wizard Thief enters the battlefield with a spell counter on it.
Remove a counter from Wizard Thief: Draw a card then discard a card from your hand.
2/1

Bloody Ichor {2}{B}{B}
Creature - Ooze
When Bloody Ichor enters the battlefield you may pay X life. Target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn where X is equal to the amount of life you paid.
4/4

(Could be a 4/1 but this was part or my blackslayer or blacktusk idea doc)

Aboshan's Deflection {U}{U}
Instant
Choose one or both — You may choose new targets for target spell unless its controller pays {2}; or counter target spell unless its controller pays {2}.

Fblthp, the lost U
+1 look at the top card of an opponents library
-3 put target creature on top of its owners library
...
Loyalty: q

Thought about trying to make a one drop planeswalker, and settled on Fblthp as it was kinda cool. This is mostly for fun but can anyone think of a good ultimate? I thought about maybe searching for a land and putting into play but not very blue and not very ultimate but thematically cool :)

Well... starting loyalty should be 1 I guess, because suspend 1--{U} for Repel is probably a bit too cheap. I also think the -3 should be Totally Lost, i.e. "nonland permanent" rather than "creature", just to honor that card.

Going by the flavor text (Fblthp had always hated crowds.), the ultimate could maybe be something like:

-?: Return all other permanents to their owner's hand. Empty your mana pool.

Maybe sans the "Emtpy your mana pool" if the ultimate cost is high enough, but I think we want to prevent Upheaval-like shenanigans.

A lot of people would like the ultimate exactly because they like upheaval-like shenanigans. I think it would be really lame to take that away.

I don't really think Upheaval has any place on a 1-mana card. Maybe if it took an absurd amount of loyalty, but then wouldn't you rather have an ultimate that could be achieved with greater regularity?

Exactly this. Realize you can do this at 0 mana as well, because you'll use it in a later turn for "free" with all lands untapped. How fair is a 0-mana Upheaval that lets you casts six+ worth of mana while resetting your opponent to 0? Not very, I'ld wager.

Thanks, was meant to be one starting loyalty. Good ideas here, I think upheaval is pretty nuts, what about return all creatures instead?

You guys could be talking about my sweet cards instead of upheaval 1cc walker! (See above)

Hoodoo {1}{B}{R}
Instant
Hoodoo deals 3 damage to target creature or player you lose 1 life and draw a card.

Bloodwitch {B}{R}
Creature - Human Cleric
Whenever a permanent is put into your graveyard from play put a +1/+1 counter on bloodwitch
Whenever a permanent is put into an opponent's graveyard from play Bloodwitch deals 1 damage to that player.
1/1

(could be reflavored or be bigger etc)

Ravening Demon {2}{B}{R}
Creature - Demon
Flying
When Ravening Demon enters the battlefield it deals 1 damage to each player and you may draw a card.
4/3.

(sort of like a multicoloured rare rager that hits everyone)

I would think the ultimate would be something more whimsical and fantastical, with smaller board-state relevance. Some sort of weird emblem.
You gain an emblem with: "Whenever an opponent casts a spell that targets a single permanent, you may change the target of that spell to another permanent controlled by the same player."

Interesting idea from MTGS: (User Altaurus321)
PossessedPreacher_zps342f472e.jpg

Gravecrawler meets Ajani's Pridemate?
Super insane with blood artist, but what isn't

I like Blood Witch, but {B/R} already has so many good cards you can play.
I just feel like most of the RB cards aren't nearly as interesting or theme inducing as this bad girl. Also I could find some way to make this hybrid for sure.

Knightly Raiment {2/W}
Artifact - Equipment (R)
Equipped creature gets +1/+1, lifelink and vigilance.
Equip {2/W}

Can I make a card or what folks?
I could easily take away one of the dumb baby abilities.

Okay kittens anyone have any sweet delve ideas? Anything that would work well with delve, or nagas that dont suck or pigeonhole you?

Last bit I want help with this card

Ghastly Command
Sorcery or Instant

Put a creature card with power 2/3/4 or less from your hand onto the battlefield? Could vary depending on the casting cost of the spell..

RE: Cutting Retort, I like it, but this is essentially what the new 4B delve killspell does (though it has the slight upside of sometimes being able to be cast early if you tome scour yourself early or something)
This downside typically works better on creatures because you can vial them out, or on other proactive spells. Typically once you've cast an answer, the exact efficiency of the card in question is moot because you're either untapping or going to combat, not typically deploying more threats.

Exceptions exist of course, a miracle'd terminus followed by baneslayer is backbreaking, but given the discount you get from the serra avenger downside is normal doom blade cost, I'm not sure it matters. It could cost {B} instead, but the difference between 1 and 2 isn't really huge when you do get it (See stoic rebuttal from a while back)

Coiling Assassin: I like it. I have no idea what the right number of cards is for that ability, but at least it can't hit players (like arc slogger) so it's slightly less dangerous.
It'll be hard for it to find the sweet spot between unusable and pure upside, but I like the card if that does happen.
Also I love 1CD 3/4s.

Can it be each player? this just seems odd to me otherwise. Mill numbers have to be huge, remember (Volcanic Hammer < Mind Sculpt)
Like, delve is cool and all, but look at Maga

here's the majority of the delve cards from that cube i was working on that i'm now postponing because i dont want to overlap mechanics with current standard sets too much. some of these were in line to be cut or were in need of major tweaking or playtesting. delve plays really really nicely with cycling cards, i recommend pairing the two if you can. here you go:
