General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Well, there is still that up until now unimplemented idea of a non singleton powered cube (there have been like sketches but nothing getting regular play right?)

Townfolk Uprising - 1WW
Put three 1/1white Human tokens into play.

seriously though, we can't compare every card draw spell ever to cruise, that's unreasonable

On average though I feel it's a nice fair card (in limited) that on average costs about 3 and draws 3 cards.
It's castable though, and the UUU version kinda isn't. Its probably worse than concentrate, one the whole.

ok see now we have more constructive

it's an instant!

devotion themes!

something!

i don't want every cube i ever make to have delve despite me making part of a cube with a big delve theme before ktk came out

let's laugh at my idea of fair delve cards pre-treasure cruise, designed this card sometime spring 2014 i think

Delvethrough {X}{U}{U}
Instant
Delve (Each card you exile from your graveyard while casting this spell pays for {1}.)
Draw four cards, then choose X cards in your hand and discard the rest.

my friend's comment on it says
"Good card. Late game this is just uu draw 4. Might be too good."

edit: just found where i posted it

{G}{G}{G}
Instant
Draw 3 cards.

{W}{W}{W}
Instant
Draw 3 cards

{W}{W}{G}
Instant
Draw 3 cards.

Seems too good in legacy elf decks etc but like this seems like a way more fair card lol.

That I like much more. Totally didn't notice instant by the way
It's a superturbocharged Advice from the Fae. Then again, Advice was easily the worst card by a mile (or ten) in that cycle, and the only one I would not want to play in limited, so that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think three cards at instant speed, no questions asked, is pretty busted/broken at four mana though (though more so in constructed than in cube). As a sorcery however the effect seems fine at that cost.

Creature Dude - {4}{U}
Delve
When ~ enter's the battlefield, put the top 4 cards of your library into your graveyard.
3/3

Crapper Version - {X}{U}{U}
Delve
When ~ enters the battlefield, put top X card of your library into your graveyard.
2/2

Okay so you guys got me thinking about 5 drops and white spells etc so you're in for some #ExperimentalDesigns

Seer's Escort {3}{W}{W}
Creature - Human Cleric
When Seer's Escort enters the battlefield put two 2/2 white vigilant knight tokens onto the battlefield.
{T}: Scry 1 and gain 1 life.
1/1

Angelic Guide {3}{W}{W}
Creature - Angel
Flying, vigilance
When Angelic Guide enters the battlefield search your library for a plains card (any land?), reveal it and put it into your hand.
3/5

Ancestral Guardian {4}{W}
Creature - Spirit Adviser
Flying
Tap 4 creatures you control: Return Ancestral Guardian from your graveyard to your hand.
Cycling {1}{W}
4/4

Planar Shove {2}{W}
Instant
Put target artifact, enchantment or planeswalker on the top or bottom of it's owners library.
Cycling {2}

Revenant Hulk {4}{B}
Creature - Zombie Giant
{4}{B}: Put Revenant Hulk onto the battlefield tapped, you lose 1 life.
4/5

You guys gotta give me some input on the potential for some of these white gameplay/ deckbuilding expanding cards. I know putting them at 5 is sorta limiting but I need a nice round safe place to start working.

I quite like Ancestral Guardian. That's a nice way to reward going wide. Seer's Escort is also cute, but might even need to be... better? I think Cloudgoat Ranger is probably better, and that's an uncommon (though it probably shouldn't have been).

Cogwork Bibliothech.png

I feel Wizards bombed Cogwork Librarian. As a 3/3 for {4} there is no tension during the draft (well, maybe in retail drafts, but certainly not in cube drafts). At no point is there any doubt that you want to swap this card for something better. I think it would be more interesting if you actually had to decide whether you wanted a solid, albeit vanilla creature, or a second card from the pack. Secondly, and more importantly, I feel they missed out on a horrible pun.

Still doesn't seem good. Why not a 3/4? I always liked Steel Golem.

Not good, but certainly playable. A colorless Centaur Courser is perfectly acceptable in limited methinks. Steel Golem even had a disadvantage for that extra toughness! I guess there's also Phyrexian Ironfoot, which actually saw constructed play! Then again, I don't want to make Cogwork Bibliothech so efficient that it's wrong to trade it in for a second pick most of the time. At 3/3 it just skirts that line where you can trade it in without feeling embarassed, but also not feel embarassed to run it in your final 40.

I've had librarian in as a courser, and it still feels really embarassing maining him.

Then again, he's so powerful during the draft that I feel he doesn't need to be playable. If I ran conspiracy cards again, I'd probably opt for the real version rather than shaving a colorless so he can be the lame 23rd card you hope you never have to play

How about a 3/3 that draws a card when it dies or scries when it enters the battlefield? I mean, he's a librarian for crap's sake!

Sure, you can, but there are all mostly distracting layers on top of an already really interesting card :p
Part of the genius of him is that he doesn't need to be playable since he does so much for the draft dynamic anyways.
