I ran this card for a while. A loooong time. I mean, I played with it for months in constructed alongside the likes of Khalni Garden, Nest Invader, and Kozilek's Predator, so I felt like I was as qualified as anyone to evaluate it in cube.

It's.. pretty awful.

Seven attacks is a lot to achieve without throwing away real bodies that you paid for in combat, unlike 0/1 plant tokens or Eldrazi spawn. It's also near impossible to wait until you amass a platoon of seven creatures to pull the trigger, short of running some ridiculous army-in-a-can cards.

At the same cost, I highly recommend

and maybe even Bow of Nylea, though I've only ever seen the latter perform in limited, and don't know how well it translates to cube.

Uh, what Anotak said, and Black 2-drops kind of blow chunks. Are there cards that you're noticing are surprisingly absent from said lists?

Not really, I think it comes down to finding a suitable 2 drop really, and they mostly blow.

I'm playing gravepact and like it. The mana cost is difficult though, and I've been pondering the swap to dictate.

Also don't underestimate the flash on dictate.

Bottled Cloister is alright. Assuming your opponent doesn't break it you have a colorless arena provided instants aren't too important to you. Is that worth 4 and/or the risk? Up to you

Seriously though, I wonder if Springleaf Drum is worth it. It's a cheap mana rock but one that isn't abusive, and unlike most mana rocks it enables aggro/midrange much more than control.

The Vigilance isn't as relevant in the decks that most want a creature like this, and if my aggro 2-drops have to cost XY they had better be really good

Guys, how similar is this card to kitchen finks?

Granted it doesn't gain you life and is worse against non-damage based killspells, but that's not a horrible rap sheet for a Judgement Common.

Bad against pingers?
