The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

Maybe I'm wrong, but evolving once is probably only baseline if you're not going deep on evolving. There's a reason there's a 4/2 evolve in that set. And having said that and looked, I need some more 4 power/toughness mans in green.

Of course then I realise I have cyclonic rift and mizzium mortars are in there, so maybe I'm just an idiot.

I (as of last update) only have conditional sweepers: harsh mercy and winds of rath (unless I'm forgetting something).

My memory from RTR limited was that it took over games and made them unfun, but I guess the RTR meta is pretty different from an arbitrary cube.

    Sets Journey to Nyx Spoilers

Beating for three does require bonesplitter, rancor, lightning talons, madcap skills, or your choice of any number of voltron cards.

I mean, that seven mana control magic can't beat for 3 on turn two, and the flying men can't steal your opponents best dude if he'd be useless on board. Options are power.

Is pack rat not the giant bomb he was in retail limited?

    Sets Journey to Nyx Spoilers

Hypnotic Siren is for playing early and pantsing up in a GWU or some part thereof voltron deck, or a UR aggro deck. It also has an alternate mode where it's mind control with upside.

But also, for assorted reasons, the actual prerelease promo probably needs to be for value reasons, and people would complain about promo uncommons or whatever. But you could have promo boosters and a prerelease card that goes back to not being playable.

I mean, I fundamentally think that rares ruin limited, but are basically the marketing value for constructed so can't be disposed of, but that's neither here nor there. I also think the constructed game is horrible. Did you know you can buy every extant netrunner card for around $260, which is...

Well there's three things: What people need What people think they need What people say they need These things don't line up. As a game designer, your job is to give people what they need. If you give them what they say they need, they won't be satisfied because it a) won't be what they...

Without having played since M14, I think the RtR packs were better, as because the actual booster was all XY, it gave your pool a good swing towards the colours you wanted, but of course because it's two colours, you get more leeway on actually being able to play them if one does end up in the...

    Ahadabans's Semi-Retro Cube

I would much rather make a fair, pre-NWO-retail-like limited format and let that be the fun, than make a fun (powerful) cube that blows people out at random. I mean, that will probably still happen, but minimising the risk. Also its totally on cube tutor, and linked in my sig, check it out! It...

    Ahadabans's Semi-Retro Cube

Opposition is a one card deck assuming any token density. Treachery will almost always be backbreaking. I don't have much experience of vortex. I was also going to bring up bonfire and terminus; for me massacre wurm, sheoldred, inkwell, bogardan hellkite, silverheart, pod, sky swallower are...

They have stripped out several layers of complexity and apparent complexity to put them in though. I understand the point you're getting at there though.

What Percentage of Magic Players are Software Developers?

Guilty. Although it skews slightly away in my group of friends who play. Don't know about the local scene in general.
