    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Throne is just an anthem, but that's ok. It's a playable anthem for any color of aggro deck, with an archetypal focus on tokens and going wide. We weren't looking to "solve problems" anyways, we were "aiding" aggro. This isn't some critical hole being filled, it's just a card that helps aggro...

I'll talk however I feel like, thanks, to make the point in the way I want to. I'm literally talking about me and my friends, to generate a contextual argument about how we enjoy the game (and mutually feel about the Orb). You do you, bro. I was actually answering you in the context of what you...

Thinking more on it, yeah this has to be way, way too good. Like, cool powered cube thingy, but... - can't remove the creatures. - Can't target them with anything but grave hate, in fact. No wraths even. - speaking of wraths, post wrath this could instantly kill the control player. Seems icky...

O_o This either is waaaay too good and install wins, or is a sick alternate to Living Death. Haven't quite decided which yet.

Still hate it. Like, I brought friends over to play magic, you know? Not play magic every five turns. Maybe even hate it more at riptide level, because there are fewer swingy things you can do to get back in the game. If you want to aid agro strats, this is my guy: throne of the god-pharaoh

Here, conveniently, is an example of a host creature that is perfectly serviceable on its own! Great, in fact, providing a lower power flickerwisp effect that doesn't maim bouncelands

Blood Scrivener is not enough upside for being hellbent. It rarely triggers on its own in other decks. Asylum Visitor is the better version of the effect, and has madness to boot! Bloodghast and Scrounger are far better discard payoff, just in this color/cmc

Blood Scrivener and Kalastria Highborn are my first instinct picks. Scrapheap is very good, and can be used in the RW deck sans any black I can also see cutting pack rat for being very boringly good

I definitely agree that Host/Augment seems really crammed in, with another A/B mechanic in the very same set (Contraption/Assemble). Beyond looking fairly ridiculous, there is some chance that there are host cards that are good on their own, same with like hanweir battlements

This card... is insane? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is in spirit a mashup of abundance Sylvan Library In colorless. You should generally have a mix of lands/nonlands, giving you the ability to choose with of those you want to draw, and you have this constant sight four "deep". Wow.

    Card/Deck The Boros Legion (RW)

I run Rally the Peasants in white, and have zero qualms about doing so. The front end of a white-shifted Trumpet Blast is perfectly decent on it's own, and the flashback is fine even with a very light splash of red. Rally is really great, and provides a really important effect for a format, in a...

Agree all around with the sentiments on this card. Amazing! Agree also on running actual storm crows as tokens. Yay. Not the only cool card spoiled, and this card even procs off Crow Storm! This card seems bonkers with token decks

I believe the only step you are missing is actually telling RTL to attach your file as a full image: click Upload a file browse for file etc. etc. A selector box will appear below the text editor window. Do below with the selector pane. It'll insert wherever your cursor is in the text editor...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

It's a really neat card. If you have low-powered control decks that rely more on damage-wraths and such, I could see it being beast. Being a 6 mana non-etb means you've got to think a little bit about how it fits into the removal environment, but a cool card nonetheless. Also just in case you...

Commune with the gods vs. Vessel of Nascency is a very close fight for me. Vessel is winning right now because it just grabs so much. Being able to grab a key creature etc. adds so much value imo, effectively removing the chance to whiff, and reducing the chance you settle for something subpar...

piggybacking off of the fight by Rasmus just now, here's a slightly more balance-oriented fight: looter il-kor VS. jace, vryn's prodigy I've had a nagging concern that JVP is just... way too good. Should I boot him for a nice tempo-oriented, fairer alternative?

You should probably link now, or we can't get any context for helping you with the overhaul, which I seem to remember is the reason you are posting fights and whatnot. Obviously up to you, but having that info helps a ton with correctly analyzing the situation.

Yeah it definitely works like that. As far as I can tell, it has the duality I really like in this deck: control the board with a transition into a way to win the game. As in, the insects make great chump blockers, but they also make great board presence later in the game to help close out the...

Was just thinking the same thing! Forgot this card existed, and that the card reads "land card into grave from anywhere". Great value with draw-discard, especially on the opponents turn; value with land discard effects; value with land sac effects. Veeeery interesting

careful study I guess in place of one of the generic cantrips, probably sleight of hand. Thought Scour is a decent cantrip in any deck with some graveyard synergies, not just dredge.
