if your deck tops out at 3 mana, and you return your third or fourth land to hand with Deprive, and then just replay that land and continue casting 1-3 MV spells, what did you lose? i wouldn’t run Deprive in an environment where getting to 5 mana was necessary, but in an environment with a low...

i am still on all wilds! i just use Vista in the list because i struck out the word “tapped” from my paper Wilds, and Vista is “close enough” to that for test drafting on cobra.

How big an ask is this in a mono midrange environment? Obviously it’s a terrible topdeck, but i am looking for non-Thoughtseize, non aggro beater, proactive “investment plays” on turn 1 and this feels like it should come online around turn 4-5 probably? Quest for the Gravelord

absolutely i do and that’s why it is staying in for now. i run a lot of X/1 creatures too. and, yknow, you can cast it in response to your own draw step, then dredge it back, to kill an X/2. but idk if anyone else is going to give a crap about it haha

i don’t play standard but i do play historic, where i have 2 decks and probably won’t have a third for another month or so. however i do draft a lot, so i have tons of common/uncommon wildcards.

big updates last night! moving away from “2/2 for 1 aggro” and into more midrangey stuff, but tried to give colors some proactive/development plays for turn 1 to compensate for not dropping a beater.
