I will say, I too want there to be more organization, but I think we just need to pick the right time to make the switch. It's always been a question of when. Maybe we're there? If you guys want, we can always test a subforum structure and see if it feels too empty or not. It's pretty easy to...

    Card/Deck Boros Reckoner

The complaint was just some vague nonsense about it "not having a home" and "not being cube worthy". But this guy just tries to force a multicolor Planeswalker deck every week, so what does he know? :P

    Card/Deck Boros Reckoner

I am catching some flak from one of my drafters for bringing in Boros Reckoner. What do you guys think?

Last week I made a Reddit post linking to Rob's Cuesbey thread, and that drove in some traffic. I think if we want to market this place, the best way would be for users to create some high-quality linkable threads. For example, somebody could make a "Compendium of Small-Player Draft Formats"...

@CML, what deck did you play in Portland?

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Plow Under is definitely the objectively stronger card. Just need to see how Primal Command fares, especially with all these Gravecrawlers running around. Half a Plow Under + tutor a creature isn't too shabby either.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

It doesn't take too much to make a theme felt. For example, the average SOM draft only had 7.8 cards with the word "Proliferate" on them. Wizards uses their mechanics far more sparingly than we perceive. A little bit goes a long way.

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Yes Dom, I've seen that suggestion before. It's on my list to pick up in my next order. For my weekend draft I'll be testing the following changes: In: Out: I suspect many of these cards will find their way back into the mix, but that's why they call it testing.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Oh yes, Proliferate is in my spawn token cube too. Double duty!

    tomchaps' cube

I really like these changes, although I may be biased. Nearly all the cards you took out aren't in my cube anyways. Noxious Revival looks like a fun one to play with.

Javelineers do great work in Pauper constructed. Maybe I need that card for my Eldrazi-spawn cube...

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

I played the "Star Wars Living Card Game" this weekend, and it works entirely in packages. When you select a card for your deck, you're actually selecting a fixed group of 6 cards. As far as other ideas, the guy who blogs at http://mtgcube.blogspot.com has an interesting method where less...

Heh. I also linked to the forums in my "20 fetchlands" comment. It's funny, in some of the early drafts people would start pushing sections together to make it a solid grid (e.g. the land destruction and manlands) before I put a stop to it. Not everyone visualizes data for a living. :P

This is one of the most ludicrous comments I've read on a message board.

Jesse, do you do any deckbuilding with it, or just play with the default starter decks?

Thanks! My favorite part of the article was getting an excuse to make minimalist Magic card graphics. I'm probably the only Magic writer who makes their images in a statistical programming language... Eric: That cycle is without question the obvious choice. Sorry Chris, you're on the wrong side...

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

It's possible, but I don't think it's really necessary. Enigma Spinx is kind of just a big flying dork. Part of the idea for this design is to have your big finishers be Eldrazi. The Sphinx isn't really needed, nor is it supporting our themes in any specific way.

    Other Games

I've been looking for an explicitly awesome two-player card game, so the multiplayer "flaw" doesn't even seem so bad (especially considering I never ever play multiplayer Magic). After reading the rules and watching some videos, Netrunner looks like it solves all the issues people have with...
