Curse of Inertia doesn't look that good. It's only useful when you're attacking, and while removing your opponent's best blocker every time you attack or granting one of your creatures psuedo-vigilance is a decent upside, how often do your blue decks really want that effect? Durdly blue decks...

Sadly, it's not even an interesting story. It was a terrible 0-3 control deck that had way too much card draw and wound up too light on removal and threats. I managed to draw six cards that were lands or more card draw and my opponent sacrificed his two worst creatures and ran me over.

I recently managed to go Cruel Ultimatum, Snapcaster / Cruel Ultimatum and still lose. Achievement unlocked.

Anyone ever tried Pride Guardian? I've never been able to bring myself to run it, it seems too annoying, but the 3 toughness might make it less oppressive than your usual 4-5 toughness walls.

Human beings suck at judging risk. Nuclear power may cause far fewer deaths on average, but the worst-case scenario is so horrific that it becomes unacceptable, and no matter how small the risk is, it's still unacceptable. Better to keep shitting emissions from burning coal on everyone.
