I rarely watch series, but my flatmate and I are working our way through The Wire and Breaking Bad. I gotta say, I like the wire better so far. I love how everybody hates McNulty, it's great. Lots of cool characters in that show. I'm also a pretty big Adventure Time fan.

My home internet was down last night so I didn't get to watch the latest Survivor episode, and now I'm at the office just kind of hoping the clock will tick faster. And that my internet will be working at home.

Well, to chime in with more hate, this is a controversial opinion around here, but I gotta say I think Arrested Development is pretty retarded. I can't stand humor that's based on fake people being as weird as the writers can make them, and then constructing all kinds of unrealistic things for them to do. The content of that show is just a bunch of random ridiculous things happening.

Yesterday I was at a cafe in Ghent in a crowded part of town where there's almost no available street parking. A spot opened up and this Belgian car pulled up in front of it and started to back in as one does. Then this Dutch car speeds up and nosedives into the spot, and won't move, so the Belgian eventually drives away. Then the Dutch driver re-positions and spends several minutes trying to get into the spot, to no avail. Finally, in frustration (or embarrassment), the Dutch guy gives up and drives away. Moments later another Belgian pulls up and maneuvers into the spot on his first attempt.

I hate dutch drivers.

today i got mad on the Internet. i am sure this shocks all of you, and i'm sure the topic -- otherwise smart people praising the Pope's anti-corporate stance -- is cause for further astonishment. here is a transcript for no reason

Bravo.

Pope Attacks 'Tyranny' of Markets, Urges Renewal in Key Document
www.nytimes.com
Pope Francis called for renewal of the Roman Catholic Church and attacked unfettered capitalism as "a new tyranny", urging global leaders to fight poverty and growing inequality in the first major work he has authored alone as pontiff.

Um, I'm going to censor that, firstly because it's unreadable, format wise, but secondly because it seems like bad business to post people's Facebook conversations uncensored without their consent.

can we disfigure names? i know these people and i know they'd be cool with it, but, i also know you have no way of knowing that

"Basically Pope Francis is a scented candle in an outhouse, and people can’t stop talking about how good the toilet smells."

You can post it, but for god's sake please make the formatting more readable. C/P of Facebook threads does not do well here.

I am mildly addicted to these forums. I was on a date of sorts, and at 2am there was a short break where I could check my phone, but I didn't have the time to even fully read the responses to the Delver thread, much less respond.

I'm a little worried, I'm on here constantly. I think after my morning browse I'd better not look at it till tonight.

Guys I did it. The first milestone. I'm sure it won't take long to hit 1000 but I can't be bothered waiting a few days.
