I've had a lot of people tell me to try to get into stand-up but that seems like a terrible idea. There's a big difference between making people laugh at pithy improvised bullshit in conversation and prepping a canned set to do. I tried to think of some monologue and have never felt more unfunny in my life.
I once met a guy in a an art gallery who was a total boss. He was really funny, just talking to him. He said he was thinking about doing stand up, and he started talking about his material. It was terrible. I think stand up must be really hard.
edit: Also 90% of the stand up comedians I've seen have based their humor entirely on acting like an asshole. I don't know how this is relevant now that I've written it.

Good lord is that their stance? "We want to promote E-Sports so we're stopping all our players from promoting E-Sports we don't like?"

I'm not sure, myself. It's an interesting game, if a bit less interesting for the lack of 2 color decks and lands in general.
I like how seamlessly they can integrate random elements into the card design, as for the hunter card that gives you a 4/2 haste, a 4/4 or a 2/2 flying (or some such) at random. Interesting ideas.
Also I want divine shield (Ignore the first source of damage this creature takes in a given game) to be a mechanic in magic
It's been their stance in the past; they've not really commented on this one yet, I think.
Are they still in demand enough that one can run a contest of some sorts to give away a beta key?

This current season of Survivor is one of the best I've ever seen. I have no bad words to say about it.
I got a Jason Waddell name drop today while talking to a couple friends online about modern. Apparently your article on the tribal flames deck really got them excited. They started describing it to me and I was like, yeah that deck sounds like the most fun thing in the world if it doesn't crap out on you often, and they told me all about the GP finish and the article I was like lol Jason was basically live tweeting us his excitement about..... And then it all came together that you had written the fucking article too. So I felt cool that I had heard about the sweet thing they liked before they did and stupid for having to run around the block two times to put it all together.
I think I'm just going to start calling Tribal Flames Jason Waddell. You are the only reason I'm going to hear about that card outside of MM draft.
