which sleeves do you guys recommend? i love the feel of the ones i have right now but past a few months they begin to age like an asian woman past the age of 50.

i know there's an mtgs thread about storage and sleeving and though those people obsess over details like that because their cube design is a v4-order abortion i think we here at riptide lab have EARNED THE RIGHT TO THAT SUBTLETY

I use Ultra Pro Matte Black myself. I know that a lot of people don't like Ultra Pro Sleeves, but I actually like the Pro Matte myself. They aren't that expensive, and they don't show wear nearly as fast as other Ultra Pro sleeves. I wouldn't use Ultra Pro's with a print, since they can damage your cards when they rip.

Furthermore I like Dragon Shields, but they are a lot more expensive than the Ultra Pro Matte Black. I use them for my constructed decks, and they last a long time. Nevertheless there can be differences in the length of the sleeves from pack to pack which can be a problem when sleeving an entire cube.

How about the two main characters in The Prestige? They look so similar I don't know what happened in that film at all. I gotta watch it again.

Well, I guess I can't forget that which I don't know. Looks like some terrible TV. I mostly can't be bothered with tv or series, though I will readily tell anyone to watch Firefly
I don't think I know how to do spoilers. On a related note watch Firefly.
EDIT: Wow! Spoilers are easy!

I was thinking chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate chip cookies with raisins in them are a good example.

KMC Matte
tough as nails, don't stick, look and feel nice
great prices on them to be had too

I feel like the next time I re-sleeve I need to get sleeves where the card orientation is obvious when face down (e.g.asymmetrical design on the back). Because I'm both worried about splitting sleeves when shuffling, and I have some sort of tic about making sure a pack is all arranged the same direction. Any suggestions from anyone?

Also, Potomac Dist is super sweet and local to me so yaaaay

I sent a second article to the editor, and told him he could choose which one to publish first. Life's more exciting when there's hidden information.

Dragon Shield Chocolate Brown. Love em :D
I've heard good things about KMC, but essentially it and Dragon Shields are really similar.

I would really like to sleeve mine in the ones that look like Magic backs, but I can't really afford to completely resleeve my cube. I dunno if those sleeves are actually any good either.

Oh, worst of all at some point Ultra Pro changed the size of their sleeves. I went to buy some replacements and they are differently sized from the old ones! This is a hate crime. Don't buy from Ultra Pro.

I mean, maybe I should have read the small print from behind the counter that said "new size", but maybe you should not have changed the size of your goddamn sleeves and put them in packaging that looks 99% identical to the old ones.

Yeah I didn't realise that for a while. I think I switched from completely clear sleeves to black and the change didn't make much difference.

James: I used the Magic back sleeves when they first came out. They were ok, but became damaged and/or unpleasant to touch quite quickly. I use them for a smaller, secondary Cube, but mainly because I'm too lazy/cheap to find something better.

Nice! I've apparently got a lead on a foil sylvan library, which I've been looking for forever. (Got a Korean one for like 10$ a while ago, but I can't use it in my cube because it would confuse the fuck outta people)

even in english it's one of the worst wordings ever put to card.
it's so awkward that you actually draw the cards.

Yeah. I basically tell people "Instead of drawing, you brainstorm. The card has a longer explanation, but yeah, that's basically it"

sylvan is a ridiculous house and an amazing skill-tester and a draw engine in green. the life loss never matters ... until it does. i fucking love sylvan library. of course you guys are right about its confusing wording. for the few of us who don't know what to do with it i have to say, 'ok, draw 3, keep 1, keep 2 pay 4, keep 3 pay 8' or something, but it's impossible to grok of course unless youve actually gone through a game with several activations. cards like top and mirri's guile also help but then if youre asking about sylvan, by definition you dont know what those do

I found that with sylvan library, green and white cards that give me life make me feel like I have more cards in hand.

But still: Brainstorm in response to the trigger.
I now need to call a judge to keep track of which cards I've drawn this turn, just in case I wanna put the cards I've drawn with brainstorm back for sylvan library's trigger.

I say we go whole hog on the beast and say you brainstorm instead of drawing. put any cards back, I don't care. Not like the card's being banned in legacy anyways.
